Chapter 7: You keep human eating monsters under your bed.

"Carly! Please make me food!" I whined from my bed. I was laying half on, and half off.

She stood at the doorway, not moving. "Get your lazy bum up and make yourself food."

I stuck my tongue out and grabbed my phone off of the floor. I clicked on Spencer's name.

"What's up shortcake?"

"Can you come over and make me food?" I asked.

"Oh my goodness." Carly said.

"Actually, I'm in the city with Tyler."

I groaned. "Thanks for nothing."

I hung up and found Jordan's number.

"Hello."

"Jordan, can you come over and make me food?"

"I can't cook, or I would. Sorry Ashi."

"Learn to cook!" I yelled before hanging up.

I flipped over, laying on my stomach. Pricklepants was rolling into walls, creating a soft thump sound. I sighed and looked through my contacts.

"Don't think about calling anyone else." Carly said.

I clicked on Brendan's name. "But, Brendan makes really good pancakes!" I whined. She thought about it for a moment. "Pancakes do sound good, but you need to quit being lazy!"

I shrugged and called him. He answered on the second ring.

"Hey Princess, what's up?"

"Will you please come over and make food for me and Carly?"

"Hmm, I don't know. I still never got that winning prize Tuesday night."

"We have already discussed this! You get the satisfaction of knowing that you caught 21 bugs in my very own back yard!"

He laughed, "That's not a good prize."

"Quit being difficult, and come over! I'm starving!"

"Fine, this discussion is not over. Ill be there in a few."

I hung up and smiled at Carly. She rolled her eyes. "I'm going to change, before your boyfriend sees me in short shorts and a tank top." She said, grabbing her duffel bag.

"He's not my boyfriend!" I yelled.

"Whatever."

I walked to my closet and pulled on back yoga pants, and a tie dye t-shirt. I slipped my cow house shoes on and brushed my hair. I added food to Pricklepants' food bowl, and walked downstairs.

The doorbell rang, and Brendan walked in. "Aren't you supposed to wait until someone answers the door?" I asked. He smirked. "We've been friends for over a week, I think I'm welcome to walk in anytime I wish. Plus, your dad told me I could."

This past week, Dad and Brendan became friends. They watch football together, and talk about sports. Mom treats him like she did Scott, kind and caring. I think she likes Brendan better, he's more organized, and gets along with dad. Scott didn't talk to my dad much.

"Whatever, will you make pancakes?" I asked.

"Ready?" Brendan asked.

"Yeah, push me already!" Carly said.

She was sitting on my mattress, about to surf downstairs. He pushed the mattress, and she went flying. "Woo hoo!"She yelled. Brendan got the extra mattress and sat on it. "Hop on. To my magic carpet ride!" He smiled, referring to Aladin. We watched that about an hour ago.
