Chapter 7:Realizing What's Wrong or Right

2 days Later-Monday 2nd of June

It has been two day since my encounter with Jayden,and I haven't seen,nor heard from him.I think he is ignoring me now.

I have been staying in the family home,which has nothing in it.The rooms fill empty since mum took everything that was left yesterday.I still have four more days before I can look in the house's.(counting today)

Right now,me and Gracie are in the car that I borrowed from the family's car,since my old dodgy car is still in London I am deciding to get a new one,I also got a new car seat for Gracie while I was shopping yesterday.

We are diving to Anna's house,an old friend of mine I haven't talked to her for awhile,and I thought she might,want to finally meet Gracie.

I stop at a red light,so I look around to see Gracie sitting in her car seat still playing with her doll.I smile at the sight,than the light turns green.

Pulling up at Anna's house,I look and realize it still looks the same,hardly anything has changed.I get out than walk around to the right side of the car to undo Gracie,who jumps out and begins to walk away"Gracie,wait for mummy please"I say,

she look up at me but stops,I quickly grab the nappy bag,before closing the door and locking it.I reach out to Gracie who grabs my hand and we walk up to the door.Ringing the door bell

Ding,Dong

"Sorry that was the door,just one minute".The man opens the door,talking on the phone.

As soon as he see's who it is,his mouth drops open"um,I am going to have to call you back".

"Charlotte,what are you doing here"he asks.

"Conner,who's at the do..."Anna walks to the door just staring at us,I smile.

"Ce"she says.

"um hey,how are you Anna"I ask,and she looks at me like she had seen a ghost."so".

"Why are you here"Conner ask me,rudely

"well I thought you might want to meet Gracie"I pause pointing down to Gracie"but I guess not"I say,while turn around.

"wait,I would love to meet her,but why are you here now after 3 years"Anna asks.

"because my father died 3 days ago and I am living here now,so why not see old friend"I say and Anna smiles at me,before hugging me.She steps back and smiles at me.

"come in,she says"I smile and we walk in.

After catching up and talking,I find out that Anna's and Conner's parents are on holiday together and Conner offered to stay with her,while they are gone.Anna and Conner had a broke up when I left,because Anna was hiding the reason why I left,and she promised me she wouldn't tell.Jayden ask Conner to find out,but failed and they do not talk anymore.Anna and Conner have been back together for a year now.

Once they told me I felt guilty,but they told me not to worry about it.Gracie loved them,she was running around like it was her own house,which I loved.

Looking around I see Gracie playing with Conner,I think he will be a good dad one day.I smile at the thought of Anna having a child."Hey Ce"Anna say"have you told Jayden."she ask and I nod

"Yes,well no,I saw him at the hospital,than he came over to my house 2 days ago,and Gracie asked why her dad was there and he chucked a hissy fit and ran away,I haven't heard from him,since."I say and she give me a sad smile.I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.I pull it out,to see text from Jayden

Charlie,can you please meet me at our park,I think we need to talk.

p.s-please bring Gracie

It brings a smile to my face,see Gracie's name,I send back a quick okay.I read it over once again,than I realize it said 'our' park.

I remember when we were kids,we would always go to this park,that was around the corner from both of our houses,It was only small,but it was awesome.If there was a problem we would go there,and we would always know where to find each other.I don't know about him but I stopped going there after,he started pushing me away.

"Hey Anna,I have to go"I say and she nods.I get Gracie in the car and drive to the park.

I leave the nappy bag in the car because I probably won't be long.We walk over to the park and I see Jay sitting on the bench."Go play baby"I say and she runs off to the small playground.I walk over to Jayden and sit next to him.

"Hey"He say's 

"Hey"I than say,what a fun conversation 

"listen Charlie"he say's turning to look at me"I am sorry for running out on you,but you two shocked me,I still can't believe I have a kid Charlie,like that's a big thing to find out."he pauses "I can't believe you didn't tell me".

"I tried to tell you Jayden,but than you showed your true colours so what was the point"I ask"give me one good reason why I should of told you"I ask

"because she fucking mine,Charlotte,"he yells and Gracie looks over at us"you should have told me Charlie,I could of helped.When I had my first child I wanted to be there for it,I wanted to be there for her Charlie you took that away from me."

As soon as he said that I felt a tear slip down my face"I'm sorry,but you hurt me,really bad Jayden,you hurt me and I didn't know what to do,and why would I want to bring my baby in a town where I was hurt and ad banned,I couldn't do that,so I moved to London,with my Aunt,she actually took in a pregnant seventeen year old,and helped me.She helped me grow up and be the best mother I could be for Gracie.I had to do it on my own,but I got there.

Aunt Jade helped me go through year twelve,as she is a teacher,and I am very grateful for that.Jayden if my dad didn't get into that car crash,I wouldn't be here,and you wouldn't of met her until she was old enough,and it would of been her choice.If it wasn't for that will,I would not be sitting here,I would be back in London."I stop my rant and wait for a reply.

"you wern't going to tell me I was a dad."he asks"I was going to go through my life thinking I didn't have a child".I looked at him,and he actually looked like he was going to cry,but pushed back the tears.

"I said I was sorry,I told you the truth,what more do you want from me"I ask,more tears coming.

"I want to be there Charlie,I can't take back time and be there from the start,but I want to be there now,please let me,let me meet her properly.Please let me be her dad."he questions,I nod not trusting my voice."Thank you".he say.

I try and stop the tears,"Gracie"I yell out looking over at her"can you come here please."She starts running over to me.

"mummy"she ask,I look over at her"come,come"she say's walking back over to the swings"mummy"she yells.

I cackle and get up,I start walking before turning around to look at Jayden"you coming"he looks at me and I am pointing at Gracie.

A smile grew on his face before nodding and following.

"Hello,Gracie"he says,smiling,she than did something we all were shocked about.

she ran up to him and hugged him."Daddy,come"she says and walk to the swings once again.Jayden helps her up,and puts her on,slowly pushing the swing.

It was like we were a family,It look beautiful,but all good thing must come to an end,lets just see how long this will last.
