i awoke and saw Rydel, Courtney and Riker looking down at me.
"Courtney fuck off" I mutter.
"You fuck off!" She replies back.
"It's my house. Go" I pointed to the door. She just smiled.
"Emma how are you feeling?" Rydel asked me.
"I'm good. But she only slit my wrists I mean it's not a bad thing" I say.
"You passed out after a panic attack" she told me gently. i sighed. i hate my life.
"I'll get you some juice" Courtney ran off to the kitchen.
"I'll get you some cookies" Rydel followed her.
"You don't-oh" they'd already left.
"we love you" They yelled. I smiled a bit.
"Care to explain?" I turned to Riker.
"Explain what?" He asked me.
"why you decided to help me?" I ask.
"I-I-um- I felt bad for the kids." he said.
"Really? Okay then explain why you said you loved me" I say strongly.
"just to make you happy...i don't..."
"You're full of shit" i snapped.
"Do not talk to me that way!" He replied.
"i'll do what i want thanks!"I rolled my eyes.
"Guys stop!" Rydel and Courtney walked in with food.
"Enough. Both of you" Rydel said sternly. Angry Rydel was scary as fuck. So we kept quiet.
"I need you to sign these" Riker handed me some papers. Divorce papers.
"Also I want full custody of the kids" he added.
"Bitch what? Okay so first you say you don't want me to die because they need a Mom. But then you don't want them to even SEE their Mom!" I exclaimed.
"They deserve to be away from pain." he says cruelly. "Oh me!? Really!? Youe at work 24/7 anyway! I'm the one always there for them!" I got up.
"Emma" Courtney pulled me back down and gave me a pen.
I signed them. I handed them to him and took my three rings off.
"Oh and I don't want your stupid rings" I threw them at his chest and he caught them.
"Whatever" he rolled his eyes and left. As soon as the door slammed I bursted into tears.
"He's gone!" I cried.
"He'll be back! he's acting out of character and honesty i think he will regret this"
"Rydel please don't take offence but he's an asshole" Courtney said.
"It's fine. He has been one lately" she giggled.
« I just want to hug him" I whisper. "And kiss him" I added.
"And have some hot sex" Courtney teased.
"COURTNEY!" We all bursted out laughing.
"im sorry that im such a mess" i said.
"hey, we're here for you" rydel replied.
"no really. im so awful and toxic. god i cause so much drama"
"emma you've been through a lot. you arent toxic or awful. okay? people just want to see you fall. and you wont"
then Rydel got a text.
"We need to go! Now!" Right on cue the kids walked in.
"Rikers going to Colorado now!" She added. I shot up.
"Mom what's going on?" Aria asks.
"Your Dads leaving so we have to go back out. I'm sorry about this-" she cut me off.
"Stop apologising! i love you" she says.
He was at his parents house saying goodbye to everyone. He spotted us and his expression changed. I wanted to cry again. I had to be strong.
"Emma it's okay to cry. You love him" Rydel whispers to me. So I did. Nearly everyone was crying though so I didn't feel out of place.
RIKER POV
I saw Emma and my kids drive in. I'm leaving them all. I'm leaving the love of my life and my four adorable children.
Aria was crying.
"I'll miss you Daddy. But I'm going to try my best to visit you" She sniffled.
"I'll visit you if I can. Remember to stay strong and don't let any guy treat you like you'43 nothing" I say.
the fucking irony:
Cole hugged me surprisingly. "I'm sorry about me not talking to you Dad. I-I just didn't know how to handle you going and leaving Mom a-and seeing her in pain..." he trailed off.
"Hey it's okay. You made an effort to apologise. I'll visit you as much as I can" we hugged and then I went to the twins.
"Daddy do you promise not to love anyone else?" Sapphire pleaded.
"Uh I'll try" I mumble.
"Your the bestest Daddy ever!" Rydel beamed. I hugged them both.
Now the hard part. Facing Emma. She was a mess. Courtney and Rydel were comforting her. Her eye make up was smudged and tears wouldn't stop leaving her eyes. I saw the old faded scars.
"Take care of the kids" I say. She nodded, picking at her skin. I took her hands away.
"Remember what I told you. Don't do that" I say gently.
She nodded and wiped her eyes. "I love you" she whispered. I didn't reply. I said one final good bye to everyone, got into my car, and left.
