He called Richi countless times but no one was answering.It was already eleven in the evening and as the clock is ticking his worry grew high.At last Richi pick up the phone but his surprised someone has answered the call.
"Who is this? Where is Richi?"
"I am nurse Daisy.Are you a family of the patient?"
"I am Richi's husband and what patient are you talking about?"
"I keep on calling your number a while ago sir to inform you that your wife is in the hospital now."
"What happened? Is she alright?"
"As of now sir she was still unconscious."
Ydref felt he was thrown of a grenade.He immediately pick up his keys and maneuvered his car.Outside the rain was pouring heavily from the clouds.
When he arrived in the hospital he asked the frontdesk for the room number and speed in it.
When he saw his wife lying unconscious his guilt torture his own soul.He drew closer and hold her hands.A nurse approached and checked Richi situation.
"What happened to her?"
"She was seen by an old man bleeding and faint eventually."
"Why? Is she sick?"
"I don't know sir,better asked the doctor about her condition."
Suddenly Richi move and open her eyes.She roamed her sight in the surrounding then the idea she was in the hospital sink in.
"Why I am here? What happened?" she asked Ydref.
"That's what I wanted to ask you.Why did you faint?"
"I saw myself bleeding then I loss my consciousness."
"Excuse me,Mrs.Morillio?"
"Yes doc,what exactly happened?"
"You are bleeding earlier due to lack of nutrition.And I'm sorry to say this Mrs. and Mr.Morillio but you lost your baby."
"My baby? How?Am I pregnant?"
"You are one week pregnant Mrs.Morillio although it was just blood you still lost your baby."
"No!Why?Please tell me your just kidding doc!Tell me I am begging you" she screamed out as her tears fall down.
"I am sorry Mrs.Morillio."
"No!No!I cannot accept it.Please bring back my baby!Ydref?I begged you please save our baby I don't want to lost our baby.Oh my poor baby" Richi was crying hysterical.
The doctor need to inject a tranquilizer to calm Richi.Then Ydref called his parents and in laws.
"Ydref,what happened?" asked Em Doe.
"Richi was bleeding earlier.And according to the doctor she was pregnant for one week.Sad to say we lost our baby and Richi had a hard time accepting it."
"Oh my poor daughter."
"Son,you need to be strong for your wife, you two will surely surpass this storm in your life" Ymilio said and give him a pat on the shoulder.
When Richi woke up she was calm.Her and Ydref parents soothe her.
"How are you Richi?" Flor asked.
"I am fine mom" she answered Ydref's mother.
"You need be careful next time okay.And Ydref don't give your wife a hard time son."
"Yes mom."
"Anyway,we need to go now take care of her son."
Both of their parents went home.Richi was silent the whole time.She was staring blankly in the window.
"Heart,according to the doctor you can go home tomorrow."
She's not answering.
''Heart,are you listening?You are discharge tomorrow."
"Let us talk about it tomorrow I am tired."
Richi hit the hay and sleep.
On the next day she was discharge in the hospital.
Richi still silent like last night.When they arrive in their house Richi went upstairs right away.Ydref already tried to talk to her but she only says a few word.
"Jenny,please look after Richi.She was still in the state of shock you need to be sure she will drink her medicine okay?" Ydref reminded their housemaid.
Ydref went off the company.While he was there, his mind was still in their house.He cannot focus on his job thinking Richi.
Richi was still on the bed she has no strenght to go out and be merry while she she was still in the state of mourning for the lost of her child.She cannot bear the lost of her first child.Her heart was torn to pieces.
Then their was a knock on the door and Jenny entered the room.
"Ma'am Richi I brought your breakfast and if you finish please drink your medicine."
"I don't have the appetite to eat please bring them back downstairs."
"But ma'am you need to drink your medicine."
"You heard me loud and clear Jenny do not make me repeat it."
"Okay ma'am"
By midday Natallie visits Richi at home.Jenny lead Natallie to the room of Richi.
"Ma'am,are you sleep?" Jenny called outside the room.
"What is it again Jenny? I told you I am not going too eat" there was a little irritation on her voice.
"Ms.Natallie is here ma'am."
"Okay,send her in."
"Hi cupcake.How are you?" Natallie greeted her with a hugged.
When Natallie hugged her Richi was crying hard.Natallie doesn't know why is her friend crying all of a sudden.
"Hush!Is this something wrong cupcake?"
"Nat,I lost my baby.I am not a good mother to him or her.What should I do?"
"Oh my poor cupcake,you need to be strong you still have the chance to be a good mother to your next child don't loss hope."
Ydref went home early than the usual hour of returning home.He asked Jenny about Richi.Ydref brought home a food.
"Sir,she did not eat nor drink her medicine.She also didn't go out of her room and I heard she was crying earlier."
"Okay,please prepare her food I will be the one to bring them up."
Ydref carried a tray with fajitas or grill skirt steak that was an epitome of texas and mexico cuisine.
"Heart,I brought you something to eat."
"I don't want to eat."
"Heart please don't neglect your health.Eat this before it turn cold."
"Health?I already loss my child who cares about my health.If I die that's better than losing my child."
"Can you hear what are you saying Richi?God!I am still here Richilane don't ever say about dying."
"I am not like you Dref!We lost our child yet I've never seen you mourn."
"I am mourning Richi but I don't want to stop my life.I know our child also wanted that."
"But I cannot do it.I am a mother Dref I'm the one who carried our child a week yet I still lost her."
"Stop blaming yourself Richi no one wanted that to happened.You are not the only one who's feeling guilty,me also.I am blaming myself because I hurt you when you saw I and Lani kissed.I am so sorry Heart."
Ydref gave her a tight hugged.She was sick of crying but she still managed to burst in tears.Numbness conquered her soul.
