Chapter 4

While walking to school I was looking over my shoulder every 5 steps just to make sure I didn't see that black impala that I see in my nightmares. I made it to school feeling really good that I haven't seen him yet. I walked over to my locker and started to organise my bag for the day. Unfortunately we had sports today so I had to pack my gym clothes. I hated my sport class because everyone would watch me and do the usual name calling thing, they yell it just loud enough to make sure I would hear it.

Mary met me at my locker like every morning and we walked to home room together. We went to our seats and it was really quiet, I realised that it was because Leo and his group were not here yelling, laughing and mucking around. It was nice that I could actually relax and not have to worry about them. I layed back into my chair and inhaled and exhaled really deeply enjoying my new comfort.

"Hey love you look really tired today are you ok?"

"Yeah no I'm fine I just didn't get a lot of sleep after you left last night."

"Oh thats no good love do you want to skip sport and we can go somewhere quiet so you can have a nap."

"No it's ok if I skip it I get more shit about not being able to do anything active and blah blah blah "

"You shouldn't care what they say love but it is up to you if you wanna skip or not."

"I know boo thanks for worrying."

We went to the rest of our classes like normal until it was time for sports class. We walked into the changing room waiting until I could use one of the stalls, I look around to all of the other girls that had no problem stripping. They didn't have a care in the world just changing without noticing that they were doing it . It kind of pissed me off that they could get changed without be self-conscious, I walked into the stall to get changed for the horrible torture that is sports.

I walk out of the change rooms and into the gym my first instinct is start looking for Mary. I find her leaning against one of the walls with her arms crossed with a angry look on her face. I make my way over to her and follow her eyes to where she was sending her glare, Leo and his friends all in a group laughing and pushing each other around like monkeys trying to determine who is the biggest baboon of them all.

"whistle"

"Ok class come in closer I don't want to have to yell the entire time now move in. Now today we will be running laps of the gym and then we will be doing trust exercise with a partner that I will pick for you."

("God dammit I should have skipped today because now I'm going to be paired with someone that doesn't like me.")

I look at Mary and I know she is thinking the exact same thing because she now was glaring at me. She started mouthing words to me that represented she was not happy and she would get me back later. I couldn't help but giggle at her it looked like a dark aura was seeping out of her, she looked like something out of an anime.

"Ok girls line up at the beginning of the track and take you marks."

I lined up waiting for the whistle to sound off, it echoed through the gym and the sounds of running filled my ears. I tried to keep up with the other girls but they were all faster then me, starting to jog I could hear Leo and his friends laughing at me. I hate being put on display like that with everybody watching and waiting for me to fail. Well I'm not giving them the satisfaction today, I pushed and pushed until I past the finish line after my 5th lap. My heart was beating so fast I thought it was going to fly out of my chest, my lungs felt like it was going to burst and my legs were going to give out, breathing really heavy I can see the class move over to the teacher to get the name of there partners for the trust exercise.

I stand up straight on my shaky legs and walk over to the line that has started to form. Watch the rest of my class get paired up with friends just brings me down even more. Mary's name has already been pulled out and now I'm going to be stuck with someone who hates me. I wait until I hear my name being called, I look up and see Sarah the main bitch of the school. The girls wanted to be her and the guys wanted to screw her, nothing could make this day get any worse.

"Ok class time to find you partner and make a spot of your own in the gym."

Everyone started to move including Sarah I followed behind her until she stopped next to Leo and his partner. I make my way slowly up to Sarah as she gave me the most dirtiest look I have ever seen a human give to another human.

"Alright fatass you may be my partner for this trust thing but it doesn't mean I like you and want you talking to me got it."

I just nodded my head not wanting to cause a scene.
