Chapter 36

Antheia POV

The lunch bell rings and im really excited to meet up with Adam. He is really sweet which is uncommon for guys to be like that towards me. Packing up my books I head off to our meeting place . On the way I run into Mary who looked like she was about to punch the shit out of someone.

"Hey love you ok it looks like you are about to snap?"

"Yeah I'm good, just the fucking teacher giving me some shit again about the way I'm dressed."

"You look amazing don't even worry about what they have to say."

"You seem lively did something good happen in one of your classes?" My cheeks turn a little shade of pink.

"Adam asked me to have lunch with him is all." I whispered softly.

"Ohhhh this is going to be interesting." Mary says in a really sassy  way wriggling her eyebrows to add a little extra flair.

"I'm actually a little nervous about it, do you maybe want to come along so it's not so awkward?" I grab her hand and give her my best impression of puppy dog eyes.

"But why don't you want to be alone with him it's the perfect chance to get to know him." She winks at me.

All of a sudden I remember what I had done to Leo this morning making my face ten times redder. Mary chuckles a at my reaction.

"It's not like I'm telling you to sleep with him Antheia."

("If only she knew what I did this morning to get Anderson off my back. Plus if Mary comes with me and if demon sporn shows up she can help back me up.")

"I know it's just I'm a little nervous is all, no guy has ever taken an interest in me and you know that."

"Ok I will come with you, but no more sad puppy dog face."

"Ok I promise."

We walk to the meeting place, seeing Adam already waiting for us I feel the excitement build up in my chest and it takes all my willpower not to hide behind Mary.

"Hi Antheia." He has such a nice smile.

"Hey...... Ummm I hope you don't mind, I invited Mary to lunch."

"That's fine the more the merrier." He chuckled at the cute but lame pun he just used. I giggled a little because his smile was so contagious. Mary just rolled her eyes but had a little smile.

"Well I was thinking we could skip the rest of the day and actually go down town for lunch?"

"Sure do you want to take my car or yours?" Mary said nonchalantly leaning on my shoulder. Adam looked at me waiting for my response nervously.

"Sure it sounds like fun." I smile.

We make it to Adams car its nice, simple but nice. I was about to sit in the back when Mary hip bumps me so that I have no choice but to get in the front. She gives me a look as if to say don't be so shy and get in their.

The car drive was a little awkward but pleasant. We discussed where to eat when Mary connects her phone to the bluetooth in the car.
