Moments are like spaces in time that sometimes you remember and sometimes you don't. Depending on the moment, whether it was traumatic, or romantic, and depending on the impact is has on your memory, every moment of your life does something to you, so how. It can help you grow, or maybe set you back, but still moments are Necessary in life. To help us become the people we are meant to be, and the people we desire to be. Moments are really something special.
For Fate and Stephen, the moment they found out their daughter was pregnant, it was shocking, and overwhelming. But they soon accepted the change that was coming to their life and Anna was also.
Fate decided a week after they found out about the pregnancy that she would do everything in her power to help Anna Lynn get ready to become a mommy. She felt as though maybe, this was like God giving her a second chance at motherhood, though it wasn't Fate who was having the baby, she still wanted to prepare Anna as best as she could. Fate felt the next nine months should be calm and exciting and filled with happy moments for these kind of moments are the ones you cherish forever.
Anna Lynn knew John would not want to have anything to do with this baby, and she was right. All he did was make her angry and even told her she should abort it and that it was all her fault anyways, which it wasn't, obviously. I mean we all know it takes two two to make a baby.
When Anna told these things to her parents, they discussed the matter privately and come to the conclusion that in this moment of Anna Lynn's life the very last thing she needed was stress and heartache from some stupid young reckless boy. So they sat Anna Lynn in the living room to decide what they should does a family and what would be the best choices for Anna and their grandchild that was on the way.
"So Anna Lynn..." Fate started the conversation. " Stephen and I have talked it over and we have come to some conclusions, and we hope they encourage you to keep your baby. All I have ever wanted, I mean, all me and Steven, have ever wanted was a big family filled with our kids and theirs, and we would love to see you add a new addition to our family. But The very last thing I want you to be worrying about is that boy." She paused for a moment looked at Stephen and nudged at him to go ahead and finish, this part of what they wanted to say should come from the closest person to Anna which was her daddy.
" Yes. That Boy. You know Anna Lynn we have both been thinking about it, and if he doesn't want you to keep the baby or anything to do with it, me and your mom think it would be the best thing for you and the baby's health, to just stay as far away from him as you can for the next nine months. You never know, Anna he may change his mind down the road, but for now we honestly don't want him stressing you out. This baby you are carrying is a blessing even if it comes as a disguise at times, it is still a gift from God to you, and this family. If that boy doesn't want to see this as a gift then he is and was never the man for you." He ended and Fate began talking again
"Exactly. Honestly if he doesn't want you to have this baby by the time he, or she comes, Well then you can give him exactly what he desires and refuse to put him on the birth certificate."Fate said blankly.
"Besides that," Stephen said gently now smiling his charming smile at his daughter, " Your baby will have all the love it needs, all because, it will have you as a mom. And We know you will be the best mom."
"Oh!" Anna exclaimed nervously. "Mom, Dad, I don't know what to say, thank you guys so much, for being so supportive, I am gonna keep this baby! And you know what! I am gonna be a damn good mom! No matter what anyone else says or think!" She said beaming now.
And she was gonna be a good mom, she would give all the love she had in her to this baby. Her parents were right she didn't need a guy to complete her, to help her or even to love her. She knew this baby growing inside her would love her unconditionally like she loved her parents. And nobody, not a soul, could stop them from having the best life.
This mindset is what pulled Anna through the next nine months. She decided also, all on her own, that she wanted the baby's gender to be a surprise. Her mom and Anna's best friend Alyssa through her a baby shower and it turned out great. And by the time the baby was about to arrive Anna, Fate, Stephen, and all who loved them were ready to meet that baby and add it to their family.
Together all of them prepared for the baby. Since Anna couldn't get support herself and especially a baby on her own, Fate and Stephen told her if she promised to go and finish college as long as she was in school they could both live with them. So They made up the spare bedroom next to Anna Lynn's upstairs, into a nursery. They protected the whole house for the arriving baby and then before they knew it, he had arrived.
Anna had never imagined she would ever love another human being as much as she did, the moment she held her first baby boy, whom she had decided all on her own to name, Noah Charles Hamilton, after her baby brother who passed away. She did exactly what her parents had told her and she also decided not to put John on the birth certificate. She promised herself that if Noah ever asked about his daddy when he got older she would tell him the truth in the most loving way and explain to him that she never would want any kind of hurt or distress to ever come his way, and that is why she made the decision she made. So Noah got to have her last name and she was so excited about that.
He looked a lot like his birth father though, handsome and all, dark brown curly hair and dark brown eyes, olive colored skin and all, but she didn't care. He was such a beauty. Only God could have given her a such a beautiful child.
Fate and Stephen both came and saw them in the hospital for three days until they could finally bring them home, where they would forever feel support and love and encouragement.
