As time moved on slowly at first, and Anna Lynn grew and grew. As she did, so did her personality and she became more and more into herself. Her daddy was all she felt she had now and within a year of Fate getting ill, she was getting less hopeful, that her mom would ever come back. She even stopped going in and seeing her and talking with her, and the only times she did was when she thought that nobody was looking. She just felt like, it would be easier to move on if she didn't waist her time on someone who wasn't really even there for her. And Stephen although he felt bad about the whole thing. He wasn't going to force her to do anything she didn't want to do for she had already been through enough.
Stephen made really good money at his new job and now that they were in a new city and the new house he bought in the outskirts of Houston, the countryside of it, he felt much safer and he liked the idea of Anna Lynn starting all over at school. He only wanted the best things for her. So he spent most of his money on her. He decorated her new room super nice, with pink and turquoise painted walls. He bought her lots of new school clothes, all the makeup she wanted, and lots of other things. He even bought her a horse to ride on their big five acre lot of land. He put her in dance lessons after school. He just wants her to feel loved and money was her love language. But what young girls isn't?
Very soon after that from the early age of six to twelve, Anna became one of the most popular girls in school. Everyone wanted to be like Anna Lynn, dress like Anna Lynn, and some even talked liked her. She had so many friends. She was super outgoing but yet very picky about her friends. She even had rules for them.
Such as this, you can't wear the same clothes two times in the same week. You have to wear your hair nice every day, and you have to always put your close friends first even over boys!
Anna was also really into doing things with her dad as much as possible. She wanted all of his attention, so they went out for daddy daughter date night and even attending a daddy daughter dance once a year.
When she finally turned thirteen years old, she decided she wanted to try out for the cheer leading team, and Stephen thought that was a great idea as long as she still attended her dance classes after school and could fit it all into her schedule, it would be fine. So she talked with all her teachers and made it work. And When she made the cheer leading team. Well that was the peak of her childhood and the beginning of a new era for her. Soon everything, and I mean, everything became 'all about Anna.' And her childhood turned into teenage drama and things started to change.
Boys, thankfully, for Stephen, were the last thing on her mind. She was more concerned about the purses daddy bought her and where they came from, and the shoes she would wear to school. She was all about her ballet recitals and her cheer leading competitions and never ever missing games or practice. She made sure she always got straight A's in school and by the time she came home from school she was all about homework. And oh, there was so much homework.
But even though she grew and grew Stephen would always be her daddy and she was always his little Anna Lynn, Stephen made sure of that though the daddy daughter dances stopped, the daddy daughter time and money being spent on her did not.
Her attitude just got worse and worse though and for the very first time his sweet little girl began getting sassy with him over the smallest things. He figured out and thought he knew why but he wasn't sure at this point of her now turning fourteen how he should go about handling it so he did what any dad would do... he went to Kara.
Kara was watching as Anna Lynn grew and the two of them actually grew pretty close during her fourteenth year. Kara explained all that girl stuff about growing up and what happens and all of this made Anna just feel even better about being a girl. She loved every second of it. She even started shaving her legs and getting her hair died and highlighted every other month. Her stature began to grow into a young woman's body. And she really liked that and was proud of that also. She thought to herself, "Hey, I look pretty good as a young woman."
Stephen would sometimes Argue with Anna about her clothes being too short or not modest enough. Anna always blew it off though and ended up wearing what she wanted, it was kind of sad, how wrapped around his finger she was. But he just didn't like to argue with her, since she was all he had these days.
