I was in the kitchen cooking by seven the next morning, never having fallen back asleep. My shoulder was hurting slightly but I didn't want any medicine, especially since I was going to have to figure out how to get around the guys today.
I got a tip from Phil that Volto may be at an abandoned warehouse on the west side of town, where a shipment from overseas was coming in. Something about illegal guns, and basically, it's time to 'play spy' as Sean had put it.
I was aimlessly moving the eggs around in the skillet when I smelt gun powder and cleaning fluid, my body turning around to meet Ravens surprised eyes. He gave me a grin that sent chills down my spine, a shiver erupting across my body as goosebumps rose on my skin.
"Hello malen'kaya ptitsa." (Little Bird) I smiled to him, lifting up the pan of eggs slightly.
"Hungry?" His eyes glanced over the eggs before settling on my bare legs. I wore the shirt I was given yesterday and spandex shorts, something I was able to move around in easily.
"Yes, but not for eggs it seems." My eyes widened slightly as I felt my heart race, his body moving until he stood in front of me. The only thing keeping his body from pressing up against mine was the hot pan between us, but I suddenly wish that it wasn't there.
"Hey guys." I jumped slightly, my wide eyes looking over Ravens shoulder to see Marc behind him.
Ravens dark eyes looked down at me, glinting with something as he grinned to me. "This isn't over malen'kaya ptitsa."
I swallowed harshly as he moved, Marc's eyes narrowed onto Raven. They brightened back up when he glanced at me, a small smile curling onto his face. "You made breakfast?"
I giggled, spooning some cooked eggs into plates as I nodded to him. "Why are you guys up so early?"
"Academy boys never sleep." I shook my head as both of them sat at the table, shifting to start cooking bacon.
The house quickly awakened to that smell, noise permitting whatever barrier I put up around me as I cooked. I ignored them as I hummed to myself, swaying my hips and bobbing my head slightly as I finished with the bacon. I turned around and halted, my eyes wide at the fact almost all of the guys were watching me with weird glints in their eyes.
"What?" I asked, watching as a few faces blushed slightly before they quickly broke from their states. I furrowed my eyebrows as I set the plate onto the table, sitting myself down and fixing myself a plate before the frenzy began.
Plates flew and were set on the table, the huge pile of food I made quickly dissipating and sectioning itself off onto the guys table. I could hear the North hollering at Luke about his chocolate milk and Raven whining to Marc and Corey about Spongebob not being on the television. Kota, Nathan and Gabriel spoke quietly with Brandon butting in every once in a while, while Victor, Sean and Owen spoke up one of Victors upcoming concert.
Silas, North and Axel were talking about the water, Silas charting a boat with North so Axel could go diving in deep waters and see bioluminescent fish in their natural habitat. I felt myself smile as my eyes flickered down, my heart racing before my eyes widened. It was like a shot to my heart and my brain, a realization dawning to me.
Holy shit, I had a crush on them. All of them.
This was bad, this was very very bad. I looked up and made sure no one noticed my inner freak out as I silent slid from my seat, crouching under the table and dashing out and into the next room. I didn't hear anything as I pressed myself against the wall, my eyes squeezed shut and my mouth turned down.
