Claire's such an idiot, going to face whatever was in that room by herself and leaving us to fight these silver hunks of junk.

I dragged a struggling and yelling Nico towards the other door. He kept trying to run towards where Claire was, I saw tears slipping down his cheeks. I knew my tears would come, but later.

"Nico, she's gone." I said in a calm voice. "The only way we can help her is by freeing the campers." Nico was still crying and thrashing. "Nico!" I turned him around and slapped him. "Snap out of it! Claire needs are help, we can't do this without you!" Nico stared at me in shock, then pulled himself together.

"Okay," he said in a thick voice and wiped his tears away with the heel of his palm. "Lets go." At least my charmspeak works.

We walked through the door and the darkness enveloped us. The door slammed closed and the lights flickered on. I gasped and jumped back, stepping on Sam's foot. I whirled and clamped my hand over his mouth before he cried out. There was a wolf laying on the ground, eyes closed and it's breathing was deep. It was asleep, who knew metal wolves slept?

I pressed a finger to my lips and slowly pulled my hand away. I pressed my back to the wall and inched around the wolf, trying to stay as far away as possible. We reach the other side and stepped into the center of the hallway. On both sides, every few feet a wolf would stand guard. I turned and lean in close to Nico.

"Stay quiet," I said as quietly as possible in his ear. "Any loud noises could set them off." Nico nodded before turning to whisper in Sam's ear. Sam nodded and we crept down the hall as quietly and carefully as they could.

Sam suddenly sucked in a sharp breath, I turned to see him trip over his own feet and windmill for a minute, his hand inches from brushing a wolf's snout. Nico reached out and steadied Sam, then they both gave me a thumbs up. I let out a quiet breath I hadn't realized I'd been holding. I shot Sam a glare and he grimaced apologetically.

We continued to tiptoe past the immobile wolves, not making any noise. We reached the end of the hall and opened another door. I closed it and we all sighed in relief.

The lights turned on and we all jumped. In front of us was a giant room that was full of cages. Just row after row, all of them had five kids in them each. I quickly counted ten cages. Fifty kids were taken from Camp Half-Blood, so many campers in so little time.

They all looked up warily, but jumped up happily when they saw us.

"You came to save us!" Someone called out and the rest cheered.

"Shh!" I cried, and they all fell silent. Charmspeak is very handy. We all waited with bated breath for any sign the wolves had heard. Nothing. "We are here to save you," I whispered as loudly as I dared. "But you all need to be extremely quiet!" They all nodded eagerly and we split up.

I walked up to the nearest cage and picked up the lock. I frowned, I couldn't possible pick it. I didn't have anything. Suddenly, an idea struck me.

"Sam," I hissed. He turned. "Give me the golden hand." His eyebrows knit together, but he handed it to my anyway. I took it and held it close to the lock. The hand glowed slightly, then opened up. It pulled me forwards and clamped down on the lock. With a small twang, the hand opened again and the lock fell to the floor. It had finger prints on it from the hand. The door swung open and I tossed the hand to Sam, who was staring open-mouthed. "Get to work."

Sam nodded and started to break the locks, me and Nico helped the others open the heavy metal bars.

Soon, all fifty campers were free. They all looked at me expectantly. I stood by the door that would lead back out.
