Collin

My nerves were going insane. several time I've had to get away from Melody and our friends because i thought I was going to get sick. Several people have already asked me if I was okay. Each time I told them I was fine but I knew I wasn't. And they obviously did as well. I know that by now Melody is hiding that she knows something is up. She herself has asked if I was alright and I wanted to tell her no and explain why so bad but at the same time I find myself just nodding to her when she speaks to me. My tongue is dry once again and I've already drank at least four bottles of water. I had to keep getting up to talk to the director, Mr. Ryans, our old director. Each time he told me that everything was going to be fine and that and everyone around us could tell that Melody really did love me. He reminded that if she didn't, she wouldn't have spent all this time waiting for her senior year because she knew that she could be with me then. OUr age was never really that big of an issue , but with Melody's mother , we never knew if I was going to get arrested not. Sometimes her mother loved me and Melody being together but other times she hated me and threatened that she was going to tell the police and press charges on me for being with her daughter, who until now, was a minor. And even though that had become a problem sometimes I had to know that Melody wouldn't put with what she has if she didn't love me.

It was now a little later 8 o'clock and Collin was nervous as ever. I was still pretending not to notice as I sat next to Nichole. I told her that Collin had stepped into Riley this morning and she thought it was a bad idea that we were here like I did. I almost wanted to rub it in Collin's face that I wasn't the only thinking we needed to go somewhere else. But seeing him like this was actually kind of adorable. Nichole and I were both trying to figure out if he was going to propose to me or not. Neither of us had any clue. She too volunteered that she would spy around and see what she could find out but no body knew a thing. But seeing Collin walk to our old director as many time as he has I was getting the feeling he was in on Collin's plan too.

Collin had left a few moments ago to speak with our old director, once again. I had followed Nicole down to warm up and planned on calling Lily while I was down there. Just when I had been given the chance to pull my phone and ask her I was being called to follow Colin to the field. I was about go into a full panic. What if he doesn't propose and I'm wrong. But why would he be taking me here t like this is he wouldn't?

Standing in the middle of the field I listened to Collin give a big speech about how he loved me. My heart was beating so loud I swore everyone could hear it. All eyes were on the two of us. My chest went tight as Collin grabbed my hand and said he loved me. I don't remember holding my breath until I felt myself exhaling. I still didn't hve and answer. What do I do? WHat do I say. Collin ws now on his knee holding my hand. He pulled the small ring box out of his pocket.

"Melody Parker, will you marry me?"

I stood an waited for Melody's answer. While I knew it had only been seconds it feels like hours had passed since I asked her. She wasn't showing any emotion what so ever and I had no idea what to think. What was she thinking? Her face was blank. Maybe she didn't hear me.

"Melody?" I asked, still looking at her.

"I-I," Melody stuttered out.

Melody turned on her heel and ran off the field. I stood up to chase after but I lost my footing and tripped. By the time I was off the ground she was already more than half way across the field. I started running towards her and tried calling her name. Strangers had begun to start calling for her as well but she wouldn't stop running. As I turned off the field I saw her turn into the women's restroom. I don't know if I should go in or not. Nichole and Natalie both saw me standing at the door.
