Melody
Airports are stupid. I waited three hours to get on the plane because of the weather. I would say four but seeing an angle flight is something I can't say was an issue. I know someone is one their way home. Seeing it was touching and sad.

The plane ride itself way okay. Usually I get extremely air sick. But today I was just fine. Other than the anxiety I was getting for this.I was extremely weary about visiting Tennessee. I wanted and needed so badly to see my family. I needed to check on my dad.

I hate to admit it but I know I should see Collin. I want to see him but I honestly don't think I can handle a repeat of the last visit with him. Even though I know most of it was caused by nerves and over reacting, mainly from me.

After waiting, and retrieving my luggage from baggage claim I met my set home and sister who held a sign reading "Welcome Home Mel!" They each greeted me with hugs, that I was happy to return. My step mother waited until we got home to bury me in her questions.

"I just want to know what happened between you two. You were both extremely happy with each other when you here for your birthday."

"Yeah I know we were happy but you can't exactly blame me for this, mom. He screwed up. And I was- am hurt."

There was a moment of silence before she spoke again. "Have you talked to him since then? I know your dad spoke with him but-"

I cut her off there. "What? Dad spoke to him? Why didn't he tell me? Why didn't Collin tell me?" She opened her mouth to speak but I didn't let her.

"Daddy!" I yelled for him.

"Daddy!" I yelled again. I walked towards his office. I opened the door not seeing what I'd hoped for, an empty room.

"Where's Daddy?" I asked my step mother, who stood right behind me.

"Melody, calm down first."

"No, I'm eighteen. I know why I'm doing. Tell me." I paced to the door and grabbed my jacket, keys as well.

"Where is he?" I repeated myself again.

She sighed, giving in. "Collins apartment."

This made me drop my keys."

"Explain. Now."

Collin

I laughed with her dad easily. His laughed remind me much of Melody's. Besides the obvious tone difference, they really had the same laugh. Except Melody's was pretty rare to here. She mostly just gave a short giggle to something she found amusing.

I longed to hear her giggle and laugh again but I doubt I will. She was pretty clear about what she'd said and I don't blame her. With everything she's been through, I probably would've run without a second thought as well. Maybe not to California, but I would've run.

A sudden loud pounding at the door shocked the both of us. Barely 5 seconds passed before the pounding sounded again. I jumped out of my chair the rushed around the corner.

"Open the damn door! I know you're home Collin!" And with that I paused. She's here. Melody. Is here. I tried to take a step forward but my feet were glued to the floor. I couldn't make a dog me move. I heard the banging again. I was able to take enough steps to see her, my point in the room was invisible to her. A blurry figure passed me by.

I heard the farmilair squeak from the door. Paul's voice spoke to her. Boy did she sound angry.

"What are you doing here?" He asked her.

"Where's my dad?" Was all she said.

"Somewhere, I don't know." He wasn't going to give her what she wanted, he did this for me.
