Somnia In Lucem

I can see the stars

And I count them one by one

For every dream I had

I'll count them until I'm done

Waywards dreams are hard to catch

But they flourish with affection

And when they sprout and grow

I add them to my collection

I still remember lighting up like the night sky

When I first laid eyes on you

Then watching the lights fade out

With a thousand shades of blue

But sometimes you lose a dream

Like the night I lost you

You extinguished my light

Then far away you flew

And the stars, they hid you

While I tried to rekindle an old flame

But fire bites and burns

And only worsened a new pain

But can you see the stars

Through the clouds and streaks of grey

You never had a light

But you didn't want one, anyway
