Dream a song of blackbirds

And carry me through the sky,

Oh, how you make my heart go

And I'm still wondering why.

Dance with stars in your step

And make the constellations cry,

I'll be watching from a distance

So I'm not burned as you go by.

Drift through a red parade,

I'll wink a weary eye

And watch you twirl about

Beneath an auburn sky.

Definitely, you're enchanting,

And clearly, so am I,

Or, at least, I'm hoping to impress

And maybe catch your eye.

Dare me to stay

Or don't and wave goodbye

But either way I'll have to say

I'll always wonder why.
