Can We?

Can we stir the constellations around

Because I'd love to draw

Your face in the stars

Just to have someone special

Guiding me through the blackest night

Can we dance through Saturn's rings

Take my hands, I'll take yours

And we'll spin in time

Counting off the seconds

We're still this close

Can we skate over Neptune

Glide over the ice, hand in hand

I'll keep you warm

But I won't be able to help it

When our hands freeze together

If you want, we can thaw off on Mercury

You've always had a quicksilver mood

The ice can melt away

And we can let go

Free to stretch out our fingers

But come with me to Pluto

It lost who it was too

And I hear it's where dead things go

So I'll go with you

As we both died on the inside anyway
