Grace's P.O.V
I woke up to the comfort of a hotel bed. My body engulfed itself into the sponge of the bed. Me, being the immature girl that I am, moved my arms and legs to make a snow angel.
My arm felt something rough and I seized my hand away, lifting myself in the process. I turned to my side and saw Sean sleeping gracefully, shirtless.
I saw the scars throughout his body and faintly grazed my hand across them. He shot up and glared at me.
"What are you doing?" His voice was menacing, causing me to spaz backward.
"I-I was just l-looking at your sc-scars." My voice stuttered with fear.
"Did I ask you to?"
"N-no."
"Then why did you?"
Finally, I found my voice somewhere hiden inside my mind. "I'm sorry, I didn't know that I had to have a warrant to look at your body. If you didn't want me to see your scars, then you should have just put on a shirt. Or maybe next time, just get a hotel room with two beds, so I won't be stuck with you."
Sean's eyes stared into my soul, before his back towards me and went back to sleep. I rolled to the side of the bed and pulled on my shoes before walking out the door.
Sean didn't react, so I simply walked out of the room and left him behind. I was tired of his constant mood swings.
I walked to the car and pulled away from the parking lot. I was going to have to find Lucas alone. I turned to the back of the car and pulled out my backpack with my clothes and most importantly; my mom's cigarette pack. She was my idol.
This was the last thing she had given me. It was still unopened, so I decided that now was the right time to open it. I pull out a cigarette and twirled it in my fingers. I placed it in my mouth without lighting it.
"Spit that out of your mouth," a voice demands.
I turn to see Sean.
"And who are you to tell me what to do?"
"Just another guy in your life that cares."
I scoff, "I don't see that a lot."
"But now you do."
"I highly doubt that especially after you just like exploded at me."
Sean just shook his head before leaning over and snatching the cigarette from my mouth. He lit the cigarette and then placed it in his mouth, puffing it in and out.
"Now why do you get to smoke?"
"Because unlike you, my life is fucked up."
"And mine's not?"
Again Sean just shook his head before driving me to our dorm.
"I don't want to be here."
Sean groaned, "Then where do you want to be your royal highness?"
"Just take me to the Rooftop."
And with that we drove in absolute silence.
Kathryn's P.O.V.
I grab my wallet and purse, rushing out the door of my dorm. I was already late for my date with Josh, I guess I had slept in.
I grabbed my phone, looking for Grace's car. Nowhere to be seen, I groan, stomping my foot impatiently.
I really didn't feel like shifting and getting all sweaty, I was all dressed up! Then, Sean's car pulls up quickly, looking like he was in a hurry.
He parks, as I rush over.
"Sean!" I say, earning a weird look from him.
He looks at me with a questioning glance. I smile.
"Do you think you could drive me to the movies?" I say sweetly. We had started talking more but you never knew what kind of mood he was in.
He groans and nods, closing his door and restarting the car. I skip to the passenger side, happily.
We drive in silence to the theater. I am about to get out when he stops me.
"You need me to give you a ride home?" He asks sarcastically.
I shake my head, "I think Josh will give me a ride home." I say, smiling at him.
I am getting ready to leave, when he grabs my arm gently but firmly.
"Be careful." He whispers before letting go.
I nod and hop out, making my way to where Josh is standing.
He wraps his arm firmly around my waist, unease trickles inside of me but I push the though away, smiling at him.
"Hey," I say brushing my lips against his.
He grins, sloppily and the taste of alcohol hits my senses. I cringe, taking a step back.
"Have you been drinking?" I hiss, glaring at him.
He glares at me suddenly, grabbing my wrist a little to tight, I gasp. He pulls my towards him, dragging me to his car.
I get out of his grasp, ready to leave, when he spins me towards him, slapping me across the face. I wince, the taste of blood filling my mouth.
I push him backwards with as much strength as I can muster, sprinting towards the theater and into the bathroom, shutting myself into a stall and calling Grace, she was the only one who would understand.
...
Grace's P.O.V.
I was alone at the Rooftop. I felt very poorly of myself. This used to be our hangout. Me and Kathryn. Now it's just me.... and Kathryn. I was watching Spongebob, and even his happiness didn't make me feel any better. I was staring at Spongebob anyway, but my stupid phone rang. I picked it up and weighed it in my hand.
"Hello." I heard myself speak.
"Grace! I'm so sorry! Gosh, I'm sorry. You were right."
"Kathryn. Slow down. Where are you?"
"In the movie's bathroom stall."
"'Kay. I'm coming right now."
I got in my car and drove quickly to the movies. I rushed out and locked my car that Sean bought me. I sprinted to the bathrooms.
"Kathryn, where are you?"
Kathryn's stall opened and she said with tears streaming down her face. "I'm in here."
I pulled her out and said, "Why don't we get you to the dorm and talk about it over some ice cream?"
She nodded desperately, "Yeah, that would be good."
We drive back to the dorm and I grab the ice cream from the fridge. 'Mind, get ready for some serious drama.'
