Chapter 8

Kathryn's POV

Grace was recovering, but we still continued to baby her. Especially Sean, he would bring her random nice gifts, it was so cute.

Me and Lucas hadn't talked since those nights, he had texted me, but I still needed my space.

Me and Grace were currently sitting on the couch watching Vampire Diaries when there is a knock on the door.

I hop up, pausing the show, it was Josh at the door.

"Hey." He says grinning.

"Hey Josh!" I say happily, letting him in.

He smiles and takes a seat next to me, waving at Grace, who glared for a moment before replacing it with a fake smile.

I laugh it off and we all watch the shows, Josh becoming a little friendly next to me, but nothing horrible.

When it started to get late, Josh let himself out, leaving me and Grace alone again.

She is silent for most of the night, which isn't normal. I ignore it and decide to go out and get something to eat, I invite Grace but she declines.

I make my way down the long hall to the school's cafe. What I see next kills me, Lucas sitting at a table with a blonde girl, they are linking hands in the middle of the table.

My mouth drops open and I hold in the tears, I walk in my chin high up to where you order, passing right by their table. I hear Lucas gasp and drop her hands, he was busted.

"Fries and a grilled cheese." I say simply, grabbing a coke and paying before walking to the patio and sitting down.

I catch Lucas looking at me, I look away, knowing looking at him would make me feel worse.

Josh walks in about 5 minutes later, spotting me and waving. I fake a smile and wave back. He makes his way over, sitting down in front of me.

"Hey, I was looking for you." He said simply, his eyes twinkling, it was a cute look.

"Hey, here I am." I say.

"I was wondering.. umm." He scratches the back of his neck nervously.

"Yes?" I draw, wanting to know what was making him so nervous.

His next words shocked me.

"Would you want to go on a date or a movie or something?" He asks shyly.

Here was my chance to get back at Lucas.

Grace's P.O.V.

I was gradually getting better. I mean that physically and mentally. Kathryn went to get some food and I politely declined her offer. She shrugged and left me alone.

I pulled out my laptop and logged onto Facebook. I searched Josh Williams. Tons of pages showed up, but only one caught my attention.

Relationship Status: Single

His About Me caused fear to shiver through me.

About Me: I killed my dad and killed my ex-girlfriend. And I'm planning on killing more.

Everybody that had read this thought this was a joke and replied with an LOL! I know jokes and I knew that he wasn't joking.

I had to warn Kathryn. She could be in danger. I tried to get out of my bed, but the pounding in my head had suddenly increased. I couldn't handle this.
