I lay there, tears in my eyes, head swarming with questions. I need to talk to someone.. but he was the person I always spoke to.

Who else can I talk to about this?

Louise

Hey, are you busy right now? Or today?-

-I was going to meet with Zoe, but if you need something, I can cancel.

I don't want to be a bother, but I really need to talk to someone. I don't know who else to go to-

-okay, that's alright. You can come over whenever.

So, I worked up the strength to get up and make my way to Louise's place.

She lets me in, a concerned frown on her face. "Oh Dan, what happened love?"

"I broke up with him." I whisper, and she hugs me.

"Oh dear. Why?"

"H-He cheated."

"Phil cheated on you?!"

"Y-Yeah."

"Well he must have some excuse, right?"

"It was an ex. They were drinking. But still, that's no excuse."

"Oh baby." She mumbles, hugging me tightly.

"Did I do the right thing?"

"Do you think you did?"

"I don't know."

"Do you love him?"

"Yes."

"Do you think he'll do it again?"

"I don't know." I whisper. "But He was just as heartbroken as me. So that says something, right? I can't lose him Louise. He's all I know."

"I know.. and Dan, knowing Phil.. this has to be some big mistake. He loves you. I know that much."

"So what do I do?"

"What do you think is the right decision?"

"I don't know. That's why I'm asking."

"What feels right?"

"Neither."

"Are you better off with him? Or without him?"

"With him."

"So there, you have your answer."

"How do we fix this? How do I get over it?"

"You don't have to get over it.. just learn to forgive him."

"But what about when I get back home?"

"Give it time. Think about things. Not too hard, but just think about if this is going to be best for you. Then, when you're ready, talk to him."

"What if I'm never ready?"

"Then.. well.. Dan, I don't have all the answers. No ones ever ready for something like this. Just, get it done.. eventually."

"Okay." I nod. "Thanks Louise."

"No problem, Dan. Now, how about we watch some cheesy movie and stuff our faces?"

"You always know how to cheer me up."
