So I sat there in my bed, thinking about all of my options; not that I had many. I thought about what Louise said.

"You don't need to get over it... You just need to learn how to forgive him."

So, how do I do that? How do you forgive someone for that?

Is this the kind of thing you desperately google? Am I to that point? Yes, yes I am.

So I do, google that question. 'How do you forgive a cheater? ' And click the first link.

"What am I doing?" I mutter to myself, although I continue reading.

'Forgiving a cheater does not mean promising him or her you will forget about the infidelity. It doesn't involve condoning or excusing the cheating, or staying in the relationship if you don't want to.

It's all about how you feel, both towards the partner and internally.

consider the following questions:

Did the cheater take complete ownership of the behavior or did he or she make excuses and place blame? - I guess he was responsible.. 

Have they cut all contact with their affair partner? - hell if I know

Have they made their life an open book or are they still hiding things? - I guess he's being honest.. sort of. 

Have they been forthright in answering all affair-related questions or are they refusing to provide information necessary to the healing process? - he's telling me, or willing to at least.

Was this the first incident of infidelity or is there a history of past affairs? - first time I suppose..

Are they being available and supportive to the victim of infidelity? - Fuck it, this is pointless.

I close my computer, tossing it across the bed. "Pointless. It's pointless. Just go fucking talk to him, Dan." I mutter under my breath, closing my eyes.

Well, I've made up my mind, I'm gonna go talk to him.
