AEROS POV
I walked down the the hallway being cautious at every corner. I jumped back when I heard yelling, but I then peaked my head around the corner to see who was talking. I saw Amy, who looked like she had been through hell and back, Parker, and Ben who appeared to be passed out. I couldn't tell who was in front of them, I could only see that back of the girls head and the fact that she was holding a gun. I looked around. On a small round table leaning against the wall was a giant blue-flowered vase. I slowly and quietly made my way to the table. I grabbed the vase-definitely not as light as it looked- and snuck up behind the one holding the gun.
"You're all going to pay!" Was the last thing she screamed. I lifted the vase over my head and let it crash down over hers. The vase shattered and she fell to ground. She was out cold.I looked down at her and saw a familiar face. "Wait- Amy?" I said confused. "Aero?!" Parker yelled. He pulled me in and hugged me. I ripped his arms open and took a step back.
"Why are there 2 Amy's?" I asked. "And why is Ben passed out?"
I looked at (Hell) Amy who head a dumbfounded look on her face. "Aero?" She whispered.
Parker cleared his throat. "Dad faked Lila's death and kidnapped her and has been keeping her here ever since and I found her and while trying to escape we ran into Ben and I accidentally bashed him in the head with a wrench and dad killed Amy's dad who is also our uncle and she flipped out at us and then you hit her in the head with that vase and that's about where we are at!" He let out heavy breaths, panting like the dog he is.
My head spun around in circles. It can't be Lila. It can't. "L-l-Lia? Is that really you?" I asked in almost a whisper. She nodded her head as tears rolled down her face. We hugged each other and I didn't want to let go of her. This whole time she's been alive-and my fathers to blame.Once again it's Parker and I's fault that our friends lives have been ruined. "What about Lilly?" I whispered into her ear. I pulled back a little but I was till holding onto her. She shook her head indicating "no".
"I know this is great news and all...but we gotta go before we all are stuck here forever." Parker grabbed a wrench that was in Lila's hand. He went to the door and began hitting the knob. I let go of Lila and bent down next to Ben. He looked so peaceful, like he was in a deep sleep. There was blood dripping down his head from a gash that looked painful. "Parker how the hell do you "accidentally" hit someone in the head with a wrench?" I asked. "That's not what's important write now. We need to get out." Parker said with one last big bash to the knob. The door knob was now barley hanging onto the door. Parker started pulling and turning it. He put his foot on the door and pulled as hard as he could. With the last big pull the door knob came off and Parker flew back. Lila pulled the door open and ran outside. After Parker picked up Ben we all ran out behind her. We ran aimlessly into the woods."If we die out here," Parker yells. "No one will find our bodies."
"Just shut up and run!" I yelled out of breath. "Wait!" Parker stopped. We all stopped in place catching our breath. "What?" Lila asked.
"We won't get anywhere out here." Parker began. "They have to have at least one vehicle here. We have to get to his car and follow the road until we find help."
It would be a good plan despite us not having the keys.
"What about the keys?" I asked.
"Shit." He mumbled. "I'll have to go find them if they aren't already in the car."
I don't like this idea. I don't like it at all.
All the sudden we heard Ben groan a little. "Oh great. Perfect timing." Parker said sarcastically and put Ben down on the grass.
I went over and looked down at him. His eyes fluttered open and he looked up at me. "What's going on?" He took his hand and touched the gash on his head and winced. He looked around at all of us. He stopped and sat up and kept his eyes on Lila. So it's- it's true. Lila is alive...Parker was right." He slowly stood up. I helped him balance on his feet. "And- you attacked me?" He looked at Parker. "Okay that was just a misunderstanding." Parker scratched his head. "Anyway I've saved your ass like 5 times today so we're even."
"Okay guys we gotta go!" Lila yelled heading back towards the cabin.
I hadn't actually had a chance to look around at the outside of the cabin. "Wait- I've seen this place before." I said remembering. "You've been here before?" Parker asked.
The place did look really familiar. "No- not really. But I've seen photos. Wasn't this grandpas hunting cabin? The one dad told us stories about when we were really little." I put it together in my head.
