Chance's POV
These past 3 months have gone by so fast. I flew back to California after being in New York for 2 weeks touring around various cities there. And ever since I got back, the girl that I met in Brooklyn, New York was so beautiful, I've been texting her for these past 3 months. And we've been getting along so well, I think I'm starting to develop something. But I can't pinpoint what it is. It won't be long until I have to go to Florida to do a mall show with the boys, so I decided to spend some time with my daughter Brooklyn. Emma, who is Brooklyn's Mom, brought her to the park nearby them, and I just decided to take the drive down there. Emma and Brooklyn were already there, so I just parked my car somewhere and walked to the park. "Brooklyn look, it's Daddy!" Emma said as Brooklyn turned and saw me. She immediately ran towards me and jumped into my arms. "Awww Daddy missed you, my princess." I smiled as I gave her a little smooch. I set her down and she ran towards the play structures. Luckily it was just us 3 at the park, so Brooklyn was able to run around by herself.
"So, how was New York?" Emma asked. "It was amazing. I loved it so much." I replied. "Were you able to meet with that girl you were talking about?" She asked. "Actually, yes I was." I said. "How'd that go?" Emma asked. "It actually went really well. And I thin that she's the perfect one I'm looking for in my life." I told Emma. "You think so?" Emma asked. "I really think so." I smiled. "Can I see a picture of her again?" She asked. I pulled up a picture that I took with Jennifer and showed it to Emma. "Oh my, she's really gorgeous." Emma said. "You think so? I have this feeling that I'm starting to like her, and it's only been 3 months since I've known her." I said to Emma. "Well, even if you've only known her for a short period of time, and you're confident that she's the one for you, then I say that you should ask her to be your girlfriend now." Emma smiled. "You really think so?" I said. "Well Chance, if you like her, then I think it's time." She replied. "Thank you Emma, for this. It means a lot." I smiled.
Jennifer's POV
That lunch date that I had with Chance was one for the books. I had so much fun hanging out with him, and the fact that I was able to hang out with a guy who's in a boyband, I feel so good about myself. I invited my cousin Sydne to come over and have lunch with me because I was in the mood to make my favorite dish ever, being Baked Macaroni & Cheese. I also ordered some pizza, just in case she didn't want the Mac & Cheese. It is now 11:00 am, and Sydne should be here within the next 10 minutes or so. And while she's here, I really wanted to talk to her about my date with Chance. After 15 minutes went by, I heard my doorbell ring, and I knew that it was Sydne. I opened the door and let her inside. The pizza arrived just 5 minutes after she came, which was perfect timing. "So cousin, tell me everything about your date with Chance." Sydne said. "That's actually one of the main reasons why I invited you over for lunch, besides the fact that we haven't seen each other in a long time." I replied.
"So, how did it go?" Sydne asked. "It actually went better than I expected. He is such a nice guy, and I honestly couldn't have had it any other way." I said. "And it's been 3 months since that date. Have you two been talking since then?" She asked. "Well, being that it's been 3 months since the date, we've been texting and calling each other almost every day since then." I smiled. "Oh my gosh, I think I'm sensing something." Sydne smiled. "What do you mean?" I asked. "Well, if you guys have been talking every day since the date, it only means one thing." She replied. "And that is?" I said. "Cousin, I think Chance is starting to like you." Sydne said. "Wait, no. He wouldn't like me. For sure, I'm not his type at all." I told her. "Honestly, you can never know about that. But to be honest, I think he likes you." Sydne said. "Well, I wouldn't want to be confident about it." I replied. "But tell me though. All the details." Sydne said.
"Long story short, all we did was go to Dave and Busters and play a bunch of games and I won a few prizes, and then he ended up taking me home so I wouldn't have to take a cab home." I told Sydne. "Oh my gosh, that is too cute." Sydne smiled. "What is cute about him taking me home?" I asked. "Cousin, he offered to take you home. It's obvious that he care about you and he would't want anything bad to happen to you." She replied. "Well, I don't really see anything cute about that, to be honest." I said. "Well, to me it's cute." She smiled.
Chance's POV
"I think you're right, Emma. I think I should ask her out." I smiled. "If you need my help to plan anything, I'm here to help." Emma smiled. "Really, you'd help me?" I asked. "Of course!" She smiled. "Awesome, thank you so much!" I replied. "So, do you have any ideas on how you plan to ask her?" Emma asked. "Honestly, not at the moment." I replied. Emma went to go grab a notebook and pen. "What are you doing with that?" I asked. "Well, if we're going to brainstorm ideas, you'll need paper and a pen." Emma laughed. "Ok then, well, let's get started then!" I said as I sat across from Emma and we thought of ideas.
After Emma and I brainstormed some ideas, we've narrowed it down to the Top 2 ideas. "So, which of these two ideas do you like the best?" Emma asked. "Hmm, honestly, I really like the last one more." I replied. "Honestly, me too!" She said. "Awesome! So, I'll start getting everything ready. When do you plan on asking her?" Emma asked. "Honestly, as soon as possible. Probably, tomorrow." I said. "Where does she work again?" She asked. "She works at the Disney Store in Times Square." I replied. "Ok. I'll just find someone to babysit Brooklyn, and we'll go from there." Emma replied.
(A.N. - Emma continued to help Chance plan everything for when he asks Jennifer to be his girlfriend. Chance and Jennifer are really close to each other, and knowing that they've only known each other for just 3 months, stay tuned for what Jennifer's reaction will be.)
