Jennifer's POV
For these past few days, I've been getting texts from Chance that were fairly weird. Like, I knew he was doing fine, but the way he's been texting me, it's just really weird. He's been talking about things like giving me flowers and, even talking about a promise ring. We're not even a couple, but he's thinking about a promise ring. Fun fact, I'm actually good friends with Chance's ex-girlfriend Emma, which she is a super sweet girl. I met her during a party that one of our mutual friends had. I love talking to her because she makes me feel like I'm a normal person. And also, she's been texting me these weird things, kind of like what Chance is texting me.
------A few days later------
After these past few days have passed, and today is Tuesday, November 28, 2017. While I was cleaning around my apartment, I heard my doorbell ring. I was curious because I wasn't expecting any visitors at all. When I opened the door, I saw Emma standing outside. "Oh my gosh, Emma! What are you doing here?" I smiled as I greeted Emma with a hug. "I'm doing great, how are you?" She said. "I'm doing fine. Where's Brooklyn at?" I asked. "She's with Chance's Mom right now." Emma smiled. I let Emma inside and we continued to talk about things like our lives and what's going on. "So, are you busy tonight?" Emma asked. "Umm, I don't think I have plans tonight, why?" I asked. "Ohh nothing. I was just thinking we could go somewhere tonight, like have dinner together, since we don't get to hang out as much." Emma said. "Well, you are right. Yeah, I'm free tonight." I smiled. "Ok awesome! I'll meet you at The River Cafe at 6:00 pm tonight." Emma smiled. "Ok, I'll meet you there." I smiled. After Emma left, I finished whatever I needed to do and got ready for our dinner hangout tonight.
Emma's POV
After I met up with Jennifer, I quickly made my way over to where Chance was staying and told him all the details about his plan to ask Jennifer to be his girlfriend. For me, I'm honestly really happy for Chance and Jennifer. They've only known each other for about 4 months, but it makes me happy to see that he knows that Jennifer is the one for him. And I know, that Jennifer would be an amazing Step Mother to Brooklyn. She hasn't met Brooklyn yet though, but Chance has been showing her pictures of Jennifer, and it looks like my daughter is seeming to like her.
Chance's POV
A few hours have gone by, and it is almost time for me to ask the question to Jennifer, and ask her to be my girlfriend. And to be honest, I'm super, super nervous. I've never properly asked a girl before. Luckily, I have Emma to help me out. She's the one who planned out all of this, so I'm thankful to have her here to help me. And from what Emma has told me, Jennifer has no clue that the "dinner" she's having with Emma, is actually when I'm going to ask her to be my girlfriend. Hopefully everything goes as planned.
Jennifer's POV
It is now 5:30 pm, and I'm currently on my way to The River Cafe to where Emma and I's dinner hangout will happen. When she came over earlier, I was noticing something about her that was different, which was weird, but, I didn't mind it at all. It was about a 15 minute drive from where I live, so I took a taxi there instead of having to drive there by myself. When I arrived, I got out of the taxi and went ahead inside. I texted Emma to tell her that I was here. She texted me back saying that she'll be there in 5 more minutes. After those 5 minutes went by, I saw a car pull up next to the restaurant. Emma got out of the car and met with me. "Girl, you look amazing!" Emma smiled. "Well, you look amazing yourself." I smiled as I gave her a hug. "I'm just going to go in really quickly to check on the reservation." Emma said. "Go ahead!" I replied.
------Meanwhile in the restaurant; Emma's POV------
I quickly ran inside the restaurant to go find Chance. "Guys, she's here! Get in your places!" I shouted. All the guys, including Chance, Sergio, Brady, Michael, and Drew were all here to help out with the plan. Hopefully this all goes well.
