Seven years later.

"I have to go" I say into the phone for the sixth time this morning.

"But I'm enjoying our conversation" he says sounding disappointed.

"We have conversations like this everyday day Paul, stop bothering me and go bother Sam"

"You're mean".

"And I love you". I say ending the phone call and grabbing my purse from the bed.

As I approach the bottom of the stair, I notice Gerald already waiting for me and I smile up at him as he opens the front door for me.

I'm late and it's all thanks to Paul, he keeps calling me everyday, making sure I'm alive.

His words not mine.

As I watch the trees and houses pass by, I begin to look back on how my life has been these past seven years.

One thing I'm proud of, is that I was able to fulfill my promise to my now two big brothers.

I would never make promises I can't keep cos now I know how it feels when a promise is broken.

The sound of my phone ringing, brings my attention down to my bag.

Grabbing the phone from my bag, a smile lights my face as I see it's from Liam.

"Hi" I say as soon as I pick the phone call.

"Hey baby, where are you?"

"I'm on my way to the office, I'll be there in five" I say checking my wrist watch.

"Okay then, I want you to meet the man who's helping our company rise again"

"I'll be there soon, don't worry and John, is he there?"

"Yeah he is. He's also waiting for you".

"I'll be there soon" I say ending the call.

A few minutes later, we stop at Grant Enterprises and I thank Gerald as he opens the car door for me.

Walking past the reception, I'm greeted by the receptionist Ana and she tells me Liam is in the last floor.

The elevator ride is awfully quiet and scary as I'm the only one in it and I'm also claustrophobic.

Reaching the last floor, I'm greeted with the back sight of the one person who helped me get over the death of my parents.

The one person who gave me his shoulder to lean on during every anniversary of the death of my parents.

My boyfriend for the past four years now, Liam.

"Hi" I say as I get close enough to him.

Turning around, his face lights up as he sees me, pulling me into a hug and giving me a peck on the lips.

"I missed you" he says, releasing me from his hold.

"You saw me like two hours ago".

"Really, it feels like forever" he says with a playful frown on his face.

"Rose!" I hear the voice of my "father" say.

"John, you look happy"

"I feel happy" he says with a huge grin on his face.

The company has been going through some difficulties ever since Liam's former personal assistant, stole from it.

The investors in our company said they didn't want anything to do with a thief, so they pulled and we went bankrupt.
