I opened the door go reveal Zayn. "Hi." He smiled at me as he looked me up and down as he spoke. "Hey. You look really good." I looked at him. "You clean up nice." He put his hand out for me and I took it. We walked down to his car. He opened the door for me and I got in. It smelled like him. I loved the smell. Zayn got in the other side and started the car. He put his hand out for me to hold on the arm rest in the middle like he used to do. He realized what he did and went to pull away but I grabbed it and held his hand like we used to do when we were dating. He smiled as he looked at our hands then looked back to the road.

I looked out the window as I rubbed my thumb over Zayn's knuckles. Zayn hummed to the radio as we drove on the road over hills and through forests. We were going to his aunt's house that was on the lake. I always wanted to go out to see the stars without all the city lights keeping up from seeing their full potential. Zayn finally said after two months of asking that we could go. I felt Zayn lift his hand with mine in it. I looked over at him as he kissed the back of my hand. "Love you, (Y/N)."

I bit my lip at the thought of when we went to that lake house. It was beautiful. I sighed and looked at the lights going by. I started to hum to the radio and felt Zayn's thumb rub over my knuckles. I looked at Zayn and then back to our hands. I bit my lip and looked back out of the window.

We got to the restaurant and Zayn helped me out of the car. "Thank you Zayn." He smiled as he closed the door behind me. "No thank you for agreeing to this." I nodded and we walked inside the restaurant. Zayn walked up to the lady standing at the podium and talked to her for a quick second before she led us to a table. Zayn pulled out the chair for me and I sat down. He pushed me in and sat in the chair across from me. "You look beautiful, (Y/N)." I felt my cheeks heat up slightly. "Thank you. You look very handsome." He smiled. This felt a little awkward. Our dates used to be so mellow but this felt like the room was closing in on us... A waitress walked over and took our drink and food orders. "I want to apologize." I looked at him. "For our break up and the thing with (C/N) but I didn't know how to tell you and it was just all a huge mess." I looked down at my hands. "It's okay. I'm glad you told me in a way." I felt his gaze on me. "What about our break up?" I looked up at him. "I was pissed for a long time but I forgive you. She was a lot better than me so I get it." "Don't ever say that (Y/N). Excuse me for saying this at a restaurant but she was a hoe. The reason I did it was because I was afraid I wasn't good enough for you and the only way I knew how to cope at the time was to find some random girl and uh yeah..." I bit my lip as I thought for a second. "Not the best excuse but I'll take it. I don't want to feel like I need to hate you anymore Zayn." He smiled at me. "Thank you (Y/N). He picked my hand up and kissed it. He gave me that smile that I only saw when he was with me alone. I felt my heart rate start to pick up as I smiled back at him.

(Okay I'm back. I was having trouble posting this chapter. I kept getting an error saying wattpad couldn't post it and I finally got tired of trying and uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Now it works obviously 😂 but I have a plan for updating. I believe if I post a chapter every Sunday until January 14th there will only be one chapter left for my 26 chapter Message Series outline and I can post the last chapter on January 17th which if you look back to the first book you see that I finished Messages on January 17th, 2017 so it works out way too perfectly and I love it. Anyway I love you guys. Have a good day and I'll see you Sunday or if I'm missing like a week or two of updates to make the update schedule perfectly end with one chapter left of 26 on the 14th I'll write that and post it ASAP.
