Behind The Reason

4. The Next Day

When I woke up in the morning, I remembered what had happened yesterday with a big smile. I don't know what will happen today but I'm planning a good day. I woke up earlier than usual a thing that is really not in my nature anyway, just hoping it's a habit because with studies, Baccalauréat and all those things I have to be well prepared before the big day otherwise the result will be catastrophic.

I took a shower, and I had time to choose what I'll wear for school so that my Miss Kathy doesn't groan again and to make her happy I put a top that she had offered me for the first month of our friendship, and how can I say it? Knowing her, you must know which color it is, black, but I love it there is a kind of brand or I don't know what on it, it's cute and there is a feather and that's the part that I like.

After getting dressed I went down to the kitchen to eat and then left for school like yesterday with Lucy who wishes me a good day. I leave home with a big smile, approach the car of Al and to my surprise I saw a boy who had taken my place that was in the side passenger of the car, he had put a hoodie so I didn't see his face very well plus he turned to Al' so yenno. Seeing that, I had supposedly told Al' when tacking place in the back seat.

"So you replaced me, huh? "

"It's just for today Alison," said the boy, how does he know my name? "My car have a problem I had to call Alex to help me out". Okay so he call him Alex I said in my mind.

"Excuse me, do we know each other?" He had turned around smiling at me, saying "the star since the beginning how to forget you". And shoot! It's him, why his freaking car has a problem? Why did it have to happen today? I was lost in my thoughts by looking him straight in the eyes without blinking.

"Hello moon here earth?" He said then add " Hello ! Is everything okay ? "

"Ali please, it's a new way to say hello to me?" said Al' trying to talk to me

"Ah uhm yes, don't worry about it" in response to Josh then I kept turning to Al' "I just wondered where was Kathy and Hi Mr Handsome, how are you? "I asked sarcastically.

"She had to go see her aunt before going to school so she told me not to wait for her"

"So he is entitled to a handsome kid and not me?" Josh said jokingly

"Oh okay " and at the same moment what Josh said re-winded in my mind " you nice kid ?! Let me laugh, I just know your name, don't think that I'm your buddy either " He was silent then turned around and fixed the road ahead with a  face that I can not identify.
Al 'said nothing but looked shocked. I don't really know what had happened in my head and what had taken me to toss it but it doesn't look like me at all and he had not done anything he just wanted to joke I think. I wanted to apologize but Al 'had already started the car.
The calm had taken place in the car and I assure you it was really heavy. I put my headphones to ignore this moment, for a good day it starts well I said to myself with shacking my head. When we were coming at the parking lot Josh had opened the doorkeeper and had gone out and told Al 'that they would see each other again in class.

"I don't know what had taken me," I said at the same time as the door of the car slammed

"I wondered what happened to you?" Al' said, turning to me. "Are you sure you're okay? "

"Yes, I'm fine it was just... having him in the car that surprised me, I had a feeling of déjà-vu I don't know how to explain it." Alejandro had taken my hand as if he wanted to say it's nothing that it will pass but I knew it wasn't nothing, now I have to fix my mistake and go talk to him.

We were out of the car and heading to our class and I was glad to see that Kathy was already there but at the same time the school secretary had called me to ask me something so I had to follow her to her office.

All the students were already seated in their place and the teacher was also at his's. When I came back I explained my little delay and he told me to take place.

When I reach my table I realized that Al' had taken my place who's with Kathy, he swayed me one of those looks that forced me to sit in his place, next to Josh, I stared at him as a sign of non approval whispering "I'll kick your face" fortunately for him the teacher was already there otherwise I would have ripped him off of my place. I hesitated before sitting down and dangling a smile at Josh who seemed not to be too receptive to it.

The classes were going faster than expected and I was desperately looking for a way to apologize for this morning but he seemed to be really focused so I didn't want to bother him but at the end of the last class I turned to him and stared at him, still searching where I gotta start and what I gotta say. Yeah it was super weird by my part.
