18. Teases

He pulls away first and hurried to excuses  his self.

"I'm sorry" he said " I shouldn't have done this "

"It's fine I totally understand" I said. He was troubled by my answer then I continue to explain myself because I don't want him to conclude that I kiss everybody who come at me talking about their drama, no I don't.  " I mean, I know that you're lost right know, you don't know what to do and you're not in control of you emotions and all, that's why I didn't push you back because I don't know, maybe I don't want you to feel rejected in moments like this and maybe I wanted it too." I lower my voice for the last words.

He didn't say a word but just looks away. I knew it. He regrets it.

"I can perfectly understand if you regrets it. You have your girfriend and  you.." I was cutted by him turning to me asking

"I... what??"

"A girlfriend I kno..."

"Who told you that I have a girlfriend? "

"It was obvious that day "

"Which day?" He said quicker than before.

He's playing stupid or what?

"When you drive me to school you forget that I was with you ?" I said "yeah I know cuz I'm so invisible that sometimes people don't even notice that I exist" I whisper to myself but he heard it.

"You're not invisible to me Alison. You're my friend." He said

Yeah. I'm your friend. And tell me you always kiss your friend huh?

"But I promise I don't do that to all my friends" he said like he heard what I internally said to myself, referring to what happened earlier.

"Yeah. Just let's pretend like nothing happened and focus on the real problem won't you ?" I conclued trying to get rid of this awkward situation.

"Okay." He simply answer.

"But now you need to go back home and try to see what he did when you were here" I suggest or maybe order.

"Okay."

Okay. You said enough 'okay' today Josh you really need to get some rest and a really cold shower to refresh your body. Maybe your mind too, even if it will be harder.

"I gotta go I don't want Kathy to think whatever she's great at thinking of" I said leting a weird laugh out.

He nodded and when I was on way to close the car door he called me.

"Ali?"

"Yeah? "

"Thank you" he smiles

"Anytime anywhere" I replied

"And for... you know" he shyly started.

"It's okay I told you. It's all forgotten" I smile at him "now go home" now I order him to go I don't wanna hear another remark.

He smiles putting his hand on the car wheel and starts the engine when I completely close the door. I waited until his car isn't visible on the road before heading back home.
I know what will happen when I'll enter my door. Kathy, Questions and company.
Contrary at what I was waiting for. I saw a tired Kathy asleep on my bed. Thank God. I didn't make any noises to wake her up. She was all over the bed and I decided to sleep on the floor putting another couch and some pillows.
I couldn't find sleep after what he told me. Why his father would do that? And what kind of package are we talking about here?
I look up at Kathy, she's totally in heaven I'll give everything to sleep like her right now. I get up to go to the bathroom and then in the kitchen to get something to eat. This whole thing starve me.

The morning comin I have bags under my eyes and I feel pounding in my head. I checked my phone and it's 8:54a.m.

"Oh gosh. Make this stop" I groan putting my head between my hands hoping this will stop the aches.

I looked where Kathy was lying and she wasn't there. Morning bird.

"Just hope she wouldn't come back right now bothe..."

"Hey sleepy head wake up" she throws herself at me. Wiggling like baby.

"...ring me" I finish inside of me.

" Kathy could you stop please. My head is killing me, I can't feel my eyes and you're here shaking like bee's shoting your back."

"Grumpy" She pouts.

"I have headaches understand me!!" I yelled at her making it worser than before. I close my eyes firmly to stop it but it won't. "I need to rest and some medoc if you can help me with that it will be great but instead you're here bothering me"

"Agrr Ali you're freaking dramatic making it looks like it's the end of the world" She said heading to the bathroom.

After a moment she came back with a cure and take the glass of water who was on my nightstand.

"Thanks" I said softer than my previous mood.

"Now tell me 'bout yesterday" she said without even 'no probleming' me

I roll my eyes and hand her the empty glass.

"Attitude" she said taking it to out of my hand.

I was on way to put my head on my pillow but she take me by my hand to make me sit.

"Must be nice" I plea.

"C'mon, the cure won't make effects if you don't tell me what was happening yesterday" she scoffs.

"And I thought you were a good advisor" I laugh at her. "Now I'm decided that I'll never send my kids to your cabinet when they'll be sick"

"Cuz you think you'll find a hubby one day first" she teases.

"Excuse me" I said touching my chest with my left hand who makes her laugh louder than before.

"Uhm humm" she nod

"You're a terrible friend" I accuse her.

"That's why you love me. Now tell me I'll never leave you alone if you don't t..."

She was cutted by Lucy who knock at my door. Thank God.

"Come in" I invite her.

"Hi girls" she greets us.

"Hey" we sing together then she laugh at us.

"Better than our church choral" we laugh together about her remark "I  made some cookies and waffle if you guys need" she put the plate in front of our eyes.

"Thanks m'a..." Kathy starts to say but then correct herself when Lucy frowns.

She heads at the windows and said " what a nice day we have. Wanna go to the pool ?"

When it's about pool there's no need to ask for me it's hundred percent YES, period. Seeing that my eyes was sparkling Kathy said.

"I think Alison couldn't accompany us"

Lucy looks at me asking "Why that?"

"She have morning sickness" she teases and they both laugh at me.

"Oh. Or maybe we need to start buying diapers" Lucy help her.

I roll my eyes again standing and heading to my wardrobe to find my swimsuit. Their teases makes me forget my headache.
We prepare ourself and Lucy drive us to the pool. I miss doing road trip with her especially when we needed to go at grandpa's house for Christmas. Not sure for this year if we could fly there or not because we need to earn for the next holidays.
