My phone's buzzing, I barely see who's the caller and I immediately answer with a sleepy voice

"Whoever you are I'll kill you if it's not important"

"I can't sleep" said the one on the other line, I couldn't distingue who's talking I was too lazy to watch my screen it will hurt my eyes.

"So what? I don't care!" I ended the call but barely moving my hand to get off of it and put it next to my head I know it's not healthy to put it next to my body but laziness got me so good, it started to ring again

"What do you want? Let me sleep!" I waited a minute but no sounds come out of the other line.
I looked carefully on my screen and at the time it lighten up I could clearly see that the caller is unknown, I freaked out and the call was ended. He ended it this time.

I couldn't sleep, I was sitting in the dark I didn't want to switch the light on and think about who this person could be. Lost in my thoughts the phone rings again who makes me jump from my bed knocking my head on the wall at the same time
"Shoot" I said putting my hand on the back of my head to try to let the pain go away.
My heart beat faster as I reach my phone, I saw the caller, Josh. I breath out.

"Ali, it's Josh"

"Yeah I see that" I said breathless

"Is everything okay ? You sound terrified"

" If called by an unknown number at midnight is normal then I'm okay"

"What ?" I could tell that the panic that I had switched side, "tell me about it"

"Okay so first someone called me to say that he couldn't sleep and then I ended the call cause why calling me just to say something that stupid ? He could have pray, drink water and try to sleep again and the second one was suspicious because I thought it was the same person and I asked him what he wanted and tell him to let me sleep but I waited for him to say something but no sounds came out. I waited and looked at my screen and the number was hided, the call seems ended by him after a couple of second. I was scared about all of it that's why I can't sleep till now"

"The first one was me"

"What da heck Josh! Why calling me this late ?"

" I told you I couldn't sleep"

"Why that ?"

"Because of something that I discover lately"

"Spit it out"

"It's about the car"

"The one who followed us ?" I asked a little bit confused.

"Yeah this one, when I dropped you home he followed me again you  know that right?"

"I didn't, I just saw him passing by"

"He followed me until I could sow them but at the same time I was able to take their license plate"

"Then ? " I pressed him to continue

" And it's a fake one"

"How could you be sure about that ?"

"I'm smart yenno" he fake laughed and continue "Just kidding I have a friend, we never meet but we text each other months ago and he's a really good hacker. He can simply hack the Department of Motor Vehicles and this car isn't on, I mean the license"

"So you're telling me that this is kinda ghost car or something?"

"Maybe"

"We should tell someone, this story starts to freak me out"

"You think ?" He says maybe wasn't sure of what he was saying

"That's what the guys who's telling me that he's smart two minutes ago only find to say? I thought you were smarter than that "

" We can tell someone and let the cops do their thing or we can wait and see what's next, I can search who called you if you want me to"

"See what's coming next ?!" I shouted surprised of what he said. "You've gotta be kidding me. What if they're a dealer, kidnapper, rapist or I don't know and they catch us before we could move an inches; I'm telling you that we were lucky today, don't know about the next day"

"You're free for deciding, I was just saying"

"No no no I'll tell Lucy about that I don't wanna risk anything"

"Okay. Your call"

"Good night"

"Ali?"

"What?"

"Can I pass tomorrow?"

"Bye Josh" and I ended the call.

"We can wait and see what's next" I said back. No, I can't picture myself tied somewhere in a creepy place without barely a food to eat. Lucy will be devastated and will lose her mind. The simple thought of it make me sick.
