"We're coming in to fast, we're going to hit the planet head on if you don't do something soon Dawn!" Kai yelled from one of the back seats next to the controls on the Ghost. "I can't do it!" Dawn cried as she took her hands off the wheel. Ezra thought for a minute then turned to look at her "yes you can, if anyone can land this ship you can."
"How do you know?" Dawn questioned concerned "I've never landed a crashing ship before."
"I know because you happen to be the daughter of the best pilot this rebellion has ever seen, Hera was in more ship crashes that I had even known but she and her team survived them all because she knew how to land a ship," Ezra answered. "I have know idea whether you just insulted mum's flying or compliment it but I trust you Ezra," Dawn muttered "and that's why I have to do this." She placed her hands on the wheel and narrowed her eyes.
"1000 feet," Kai called with a sense of panic in his voice from the back. Dawn kept her eyes on the skies. "800 feet." Kai sounded even more anxious this time. "Come on, come on," Dawn muttered to herself under her breath. "500 feet!" At that moment Dawn pulled the wheel back so the ship started to level out, as it hit the dusty surface of the planet and spun around several times before hitting a rock and stopping still. "I'm just glad mum wasn't here to see that landing," Dawn sighed rubbing her hands together to help with the friction burn I understood now why Hera had always worn gloves. "I think she would be proud," Ezra claimed pulling himself back onto the seat.

Ezra and Dawn walked out the Ghost's doors to where Kai was stood. He was balanced on the Ghost body with his head buried in the engine. "I think I've found the problem," he muttered jumping down onto the ground next to them with something in his clasp "it's this thing in my hand." Dawn looked at it and pulled a face "what's wrong with it?"
"It's not supposed to be in my hand," he sighed throwing the piece on the floor "we're going to need to find a replacement if we want to leave the planet."
Dawn thought for a minute "well to find anything on this planet we need to find some soft of life here," she paused and turned to look at the setting sun. She shielded her eyes trying to look into the distance then announced "we should go West, and follow the Sun." Ezra had different plans though. He knelt down and ran the sandy, dusty floor though his fingers. "No I think we should go East, it looks like something has made tracks."
Dawn turned to where Ezra was "no we should go towards the sun, I've always been told to follow the sun." She was slightly frustrated, she wasn't keen on people disagreeing with her. Ezra turned to her, "well tracks mean life so I think we should follow the tracks." Ezra sounded frustrated as well he didn't like being told what to do by someone younger that him.
Kai rolled his eyes as he looked to the North straight between them. In the distance a small line of smoke appeared in the sky. "Well while you two decided which way life doesn't exit I'll be following the smoke to where it does," he smirked as he started to walk in the direction of the smoke. "I was just about to say that," Ezra mumbled annoyed. "Nanananana," Dawn mocked as they both followed Kai into the distance.
