"Wow it sounds like something's really kicking off down there," Kai muttered walking away from his quarters door and joining Ezra on sitting on the bed. Ezra paused for a minute to think then looked at Kai. "Kai, listen, I probably shouldn't say this but, did Hera ever tell you why Kanan left?"
Kai shook his head as Ezra took a breath. "I few years ago Kanan left on a mission to put an end once and for all to the Sith, but incase he didn't return he used a Jedi mind trick to make you and Dawn forget all about him, so instead of knowing what I was like to live without him you would never know life with him." Ezra tried to avoid eye contact with Kai as he spoke.
"The Sith?" Kai questioned quietly careful not to let Hera hear if she was anywhere near by.
Ezra took a breath "a group of dark side force uses who we're trying to take over the galaxy for years."
Suddenly the door sprung open and Hera was stood outside. She sighed "come on we're leaving; Kai go outside and get your sister, Ezra you come with me."
"What about Kanan?" Kai asked but Hera seemed to just ignore him so he ran out and past her as Hera and Ezra walked towards the cockpit.
While the others talked inside Dawn stood outside kicking the dirt on the ground. "Stupid brother, thinks he's better than me, so what I'm way better than him at flying," she mumbled under her breath. Suddenly there was a loud crash from not too far from the Ghost. Dawn decided she would go and see what was going on. She climbed up the sandy banks and it wasn't long before she realised what the noise was. A ship. A crashed one that looked as if it had just hit the planet. Dawn wondered where it had come from but she was more concerned to see if anyone in it was okay. So she slid down the sandbank and walked towards the ship.
"Ezra, I need you to set the coordinates for Yavin 4," Hera instructed as she flicked switches on the Ghost's dashboard. "Mum, Ezra," a voice yelled though the Ghost's corridors as Kai ran towards the cockpit.
"What is it Kai?" Ezra asked concerned as Kai entered the cockpit. Kai took a panicked breath "Dawn's gone!"
