Chapter Ten

Ezra rocketed off confidently on his speeder bike. The Stormtroopers were close behind but he wasn't bothered, they wouldn't catch him. Unfortunately that's when disaster struck. Ezra and the Stormtrooper's speed bike all started to make weird noises from the engine and started to slow down. Ezra could feel the Stormtroopers gaining on him there's must have been newer models and take more. "Dawn, Kai?" Ezra called down his com.
Dawn's com lit up, she answered it "we're here Ezra, what's happened?"
"Something's wrong with the speeder bikes, I'm going to hold them off, get out of here!" He yelled down the com. Dawn and Kai looked at each other concerned "no Ezra we can't leave you," Dawn replied.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine." Ezra finished as he hung up the com-link. He then stood up on the bike facing backwards and withdrew a bright green lightsaber from his belt. "He's a Jedi!" One Stormtrooper yelled. "Aim all fire at the Jedi!" A commander yelled as the Stormtroopers started to fire their guns at Ezra. Ezra made quick work of it deflecting the shots back towards them. He was carefully not to hit any of them though, he wanted to keep them distracted so Dawn and Kai had a chance to escape.

"What do we do now?" Dawn questioned as she sat confused in the walker. "What do you mean? Ezra gave us an order, we have to follow it," Kai replied.
"We can't just leave him Kai," Dawn started sounding alarmed "he can't defend himself against the Stormtroopers, he's just one of mum's pilots."
Kai signed drumming a spanner against his hand "it's a shame the ship isn't fixed or we could go a rescue him."
Dawn thought for a minute "well why can't they?" She answered sparking up "Kai can you Hotwire this engine?"
"I could...," Kai replied reluctantly as he lay down under he dash, took a panel off the bottom and started to fiddle with the wires; "but I don't think I like where this is going Dawn, we're not following Ezra's plan."
"Kai at this point Ezra is not following Ezra's plan, I think we'll be fine!" She announced as the engine roared. Kai climbed out from underneath and stood behind the seat Dawn was on. "How do we even find Ezra?" Kai questioned. "Easy," Dawn replied "we follow the tracks."

The Stormtroopers were once again gaining on Ezra. The bikes now where barley getting past running speed, so much so that Ezra was seriously debating whether it would just be faster to make a run for it! But still he continued to deflect the shots. "Ezra!" A voice shot though Ezra's com. Ezra lifted his com up "little Dawn this isn't exactly a good time!" All of a sudden the engine spat as it hit a bump in the road and Ezra flew off onto the dusty road. The Stormtroopers crowded around him pointing their guns at him. Ezra thought he was done for until, "hey Ezra." Dawn's voice rattled though the com "look up!"
Ezra looked up to see a giant walker stood above them. It started to open fire at the Stormtroopers, which caused them to soon scarper. Ezra climbed to his feet as Kai stuck his head out of the trapdoor. "Come on!" He yelled to Ezra as Ezra ran over and jumped into the walker with them. "Come on guys lets go fix the Ghost," he muttered as Dawn turned the walker away and they started to move back towards the Ghost.
