Chapter Nine

"You two get the plan right?" Ezra questioned quietly. The three lay down on the dusty ground hidden amongst the rocks to avoid being seen by the stormtroopers at the imperial weapons base that lay below them. "Just because we get the plan it doesn't mean that we like it Ezra, it seems too dangerous," Kai pointed out. "Yeah what happens if the stormtroopers catch you, than what do we do?" Dawn questioned sounded actually concerned. Ezra almost laughed "they won't catch me have you seen them!" He paused "just follow the plan and try not to get spotted then everything will will work out...probably." Ezra stood up and went to jump over the rocks in front of them. "Wait what do you mean probably?" Dawn questioned concerned but it was too late, Ezra had already gone. Ezra jumped down into the base and joyful went up to a stormtrooper on a speeder bike. "Hey don't I know you?" He muttered joyfully as he swung his arm round his shoulders. But before the stormtrooper could reply he pulled him off the speeder bike, got on himself and started to speed away. "Hey that guy took my bike!" The trooper yelled.
"He's probably a pirate, let's get him!" Another yelled as serval stormtroopers, including the two guarding the walker closest to Dawn and Kai, got on speeder bikes and started to follow Ezra.
"Come on Kai," Dawn muttered quietly as she stood up and started to move down the slope, followed closely by Kai. They slid to the bottom in the imperial base. "Dawn watch out!" Kai muttered grabbing her arm and pulling her behind and rock with him as a imperial tie flew over. "Thanks," Dawn muttered. The two jumped out from behind the rocks and ran over to where the walker was. They quickly climbed into it up a step ladder. Dawn dived in the seat and Kai dived behind near the engine. "Oh no," Kai mumbled concerned.
"What? What is it?" Dawn replied.
"The engine is locked shut."
"Well can't you just cut it open with one of your tools?"
Kai had a quick look in his tool pack that was hung to his belt, "no it's a new kind of reinforced polymer, I've never seen anything like it before, I've got nothing that will cut though it."
Dawn turned to face forward on the seat and looked at the controls, she saw a button labelled engine. "What about this button, maybe it's a realises button," she commented as she learned forward to press it. As she pressed it an alarm sounded thought the console. "You didn't just press that engine button did you?" Kai questioned sounding alarmed. "Yes, why?" Dawn replied kind of sheepishly as she kind of knew now she had done something wrong now. "Dawn, that's a engine disrupter!"
"So?"
"So it sends out a pulse that can disrupt all the engines in the area, including Ezra's." Dawn paused for a moment "we are going to be in so much trouble," she muttered concerned.
