Hera walked over and stood in door way of Dawn quarters. "The medical droid said we'd know more about Kai when we get back to Yavin 4," she muttered. Dawn didn't answer, she just sat on her bed looking down at her feet hanging off. Hera over and sat by her. Dawn took a weak breath, "it's all my fault Mum," she muttered sadly "it's my fault Maul has all Jedi's secrets, it's all my fault that Chopper's damaged." She paused "and it's all my fault Kai..." she started but she couldn't finish.
Hera scooched to next to her and put her arm round her as Dawn lifted her knees up to her chest. "Maul tricked you, he's done it to the best of us, and I've already spoke to Sabine and she's going to fix Chopper when we get back," Hera muttered as she stroked Dawn's lekku.
Dawn looked up at Hera and took a breath "and what about Kai?" She muttered weakly. Hera didn't answer she just looked towards Kai's quarters, Dawn looked up to see what she was looking at. Kai's quarter doors were open and Kai and Ezra were sat on the bed with Kanan sat at the side. Kanan took the mask off his face and put it to Kai's face. It was much too big and quickly dropped off onto the floor. The three laughed as Kanan picked it up off the floor and put it back on.
"I think he'll be fine," Hera muttered as she smiled at Dawn. Hera then stood up and started to walk back towards the doors. She stopped in the doorway and turned back to Dawn, "time for bed now love, we've got another big day tomorrow," she smiled as she walked out the door and it shut behind her.
Kanan was stood in the Ghost's corridors as Hera walked out and they both started to walk towards the cockpit. "Kai's going to need one of these, before he starts training," Kanan muttered signalling he meant the mask.
"Training?" Hera questioned opening the cockpit doors and stepping inside followed by Kanan. "Does this mean you're staying?" She muttered.
Kanan took a breath as they stopped at the front of the cockpit "if you'll have me," he muttered. At that moment Hera put her finger under his chin and kissed him. "Till a new Dawn," she muttered quietly as the Ghost shot farther into hyperspace.
