Eun ho sat sulking in the canteen. her best friend just did the most annoying thing to her and she was fuming. Hee Naa, sheepishly took a seat beside her, carefully analyzing her best friend's mood before approaching her. Eun ho's mood was extremely sour throughout the day, she didn't want to take it out on Hee Naa, but she just couldn't help but feel annoyed, and Hee Naa was very well aware of that.
" Eun ho?" Hee naa tried slowly to talk to her, " How could you put me in a play as a lead role with Kim Jongin as my partner? " Eun ho burst at her, she wanted to ask Hee Naa that question, the whole day, and oh boy was she anticipating what her best friend had to say to for involving her in a romantic play with Kim Jongin who was a major jerk to her.
"Eun ho~ please~ your best friend has written this play. If this play becomes a hit the school committee will consider letting me exhibit my play in the annual exhibition of our school. Don't you want that for me?" Hee naa looked at her, with puppy eyes. Hee Naa did feel bad for doing that to Eun ho, but except Jongin no one else could've fitted the role of her play's male lead.
"Aish, then why did you give the lead role to that jerk Jongin? I mean can't you find someone "Eun ho stopped in her words when she noticed Hee naa looking past her with her eyes wide, "as much as I wanna say to you that there was no option for me, but the truth is, he fits perfectly with the character of my play, so please for my sake just go with it." Hee Naa whispered, her eyes glued to the figure walking towards them.
Eun ho turned back, to see the guy she least wanted to face at the moment, Kim Jongin. As he reached closer Jongin spoke " so you really think that the play will be ruined because of me?
" Think!? I know it will " Eun ho snapped back
" Hmmm, if that's the case then we shall see how you perform in the play but honestly though, Hee Naa, you sure Eun ho should be the female lead??" Jongin smirked.
" Ooooo watch me. " Eun ho said sarcastically.
Hee Naa sighed, if this was how the both of them were going to be for the rest of rehearsals till the day of the play, she was sure she was going to age a lot. Before things could accelerate she decided to step in between the two" Woah! Guys calm down, the play has not even started yet What will you do during the upcoming rehearsals c'mon back to your positions!"
They both come out of their internal eye war and the Rehearsals started, with both the lead characters scowling at each other. Not much really happened in the rehearsal except for the occasional teasing Jongin did. Eun ho didn't know why the guy had always annoyed her. In the beginning, she thought that maybe it was because she did something, but then later she just felt like he was doing it for no apparent reason.
after the rehearsals got over, Hee Naa grabbed Eun ho by her arm and dragged her to the nearby cafe, she knew that the girl was still a little annoyed and was possibly in a very bad mood. as a best friend, Hee Naa had to make it up to her. Eun ho ordered an iced Americano and sat on an empty table near the window, it was a bright sunny day.
Hee naa ordered a latte and sat opposite to her. she had expected Eun ho to go on again about how unfair it is and if she could do anything to change the male lead, but Eun ho remained silent as she sipped on her drink. Nervously Hee naa questioned," why are you not exploding like always?"
"Why?do you want me to?" Eun ho gave her a sharp glare. That was enough for Hee Naa, to know that the girl was still annoyed. well, she can't really blame her, who likes to be paired up with a person who annoys them. Eun ho sighed," look I really want your play to be selected for the annual exhibit, and I am honored to be a part of it, but I just didn't want to be playing the part with Jongin. but since, you said that he fits perfectly with the character I won't ask you to change, Let's just try and finish this as soon as possible. "
