The sound of swords clashing together resonated in the air. Eun ho got better each day and these days she could even beat Kyungsoo. She would practice day and night trying to be more natural at it. Hee Naa would always watch her practice from a distance and would think what got into her that she is so into swords. Eun ho was not going to tell her the actual reason because she did not want to be thought of as a crazy person even though Hee naa was her sister. The four of them would practice after sunset until late at night. She and Seong Hwa would always talk about how she could improve and ways she could increase her flexibility. She loved listening to his stories about the Nephilims. Kyungsoo and Sehun took turns to guard her house while Seong Hwa would roam around the area to see anything suspicious. Three weeks had already passed and Eun ho missed Jongin a lot. She would feel like he is sitting next to her when she is sleeping at night, but she knew that it all was a dream. Only Kyungsoo was the one who was connected with the others back at Worenia. Seonghwa would ask about his brothers and how they were doing, it felt nice to see that brotherly love in his eyes when he heard his brother's voices. Eun ho would smile whenever she would see him laughing at one of his brother's jokes. It filled her heart with calmness. She would try hard to listen to jongin's voice even if it's a whisper that would be okay for her but guess Jongin was very strict with the request he made.
At the beginning, she felt frustrated because of that but after Sehun told him that the sooner she learns to control her powers and fight without their help, the sooner she'll be able to see him. It was a shock for Eun ho at first when she was told about the powers she possessed. It was hard for her to believe that she could control all the elements that the twelve had and that made her uncomfortable. Even the way she got them had her feeling uneasy but with Kyungsoo's continues reassuring she started to get a hang of it. She would practice making light balls or snowflakes at night when everybody's asleep and keep trying to improve her skills.
Seonghwa had asked her if she could free her wings and she tried but to no avail. Eun ho would try it countless times, trying to keep her focus until it would leave her exhausted. In the three weeks that they spent together, Eun ho learned almost immediately, everything came naturally to her and it was a big relief for Kyungsoo. He would look for ways to enhance her powers more so that she would be powerful and ready to face Damaris alone if the situation brings her to it. But even to his surprise she already had an advantage. With all the twelve elements she would use two or more elements together, making them more dangerous.
Eun ho was practicing making small snow tornados, one of her many new elements when Kyungsoo entered with a bright smile. Sehun was lying on the ground with an open book on his chest. He must have slept while reading the book and he was never a fan of reading books. Seonghwa sat on a chair near, where Eun ho was practicing, also reading a book. " I have news guys," He said, distracting Eun ho which resulted in her dropping the snow tornado on Sehun's face. He jolted up and looked at the small ice swirl, dancing beautifully in the sunlight which peeked through the windows. He glared at Eun ho and snapped his fingers to break the tornado. Eun ho gave him a sheepish smile and mumbled a sorry. Seonghwa laughed at the scene and closed his book. " I just talked with Baekhyun and he said that they will be coming to visit and from here we will go to the Lee Mansion. " Kyungsoo finished and looked at Eun ho to see a faint pink dusting on her cheeks as she smiled brightly and stared at the ground.
Eun Ho's heart was beating so fast. Finally, after three weeks she could see him, hear his voice, feel his warmth. She looked at her open palms and before she realized small specks of light began to appear, it looked like she was holding stars in her hand which started to spread around the room. She clasped her hands together and the stars stopped but the ones which already were in the air floated and began disappearing. Kyungsoo smiled at how much she was happy that she could see him and she did something new and this time it wasn't a dangerous weapon but a beautiful cluster of stars.
Eun ho ran to her room, her heart beating fast. She couldn't believe that after all this time she is going to see Jongin. She went up to the mirror hanging on the wall and looked at herself. She could see the light pink dusting on her cheeks with the constant image of Jongin on her mind. She twirled around in her room happily and landed on her bed. She grabbed a pillow and hugged it tightly trying to contain her feelings. She slept that day with a big smile on her face.
Back at Worenia
Baekhyun hung up the phone and smiled. He was so excited to see what Eun ho could do with her powers. He heard everything about her training from Kyungsoo and so far by Kyungsoo's perspective she is impressive. Baekhyun turned around to see a very tired looking Jongin and he sighed. He knew that being away from Eun ho was taking a toll on him but he knew better not to bring the matter up. Jongin may not be good at lying about his feelings but he sure is stubborn as hell. He knew all about the secret visits Jongin made to her room, only to look at her sleep.
Yeosang entered the room with Mingi by his side. Jongin looked up at them and set aside the papers he was going through. He clasped his hands together and his face became cold. The two brothers greeted Baekhyun and Jongin. " We have an update about the person who is supposedly stalking Eun ho." Baekhyun placed his hand on jongin's shoulder as he visibly tensed at the information. " Let's call the others as well. " Jongin stated.
After everyone's arrival, Yeosang sat on a nearby chair and proceeded. " It's Lee Taemin. " He said. Jongin scoffed as he heard the name. He can't believe it after all those years his best friend finally reappears in his life. " Anything else?" Jongin asks. " We still don't know his motive but it seems like he doesn't mean any harm." Yeosang said, " of course, he doesn't mean any harm but that doesn't mean we won't have to go and have a word with him." Jongin stated. Suho not really sure about the idea said, " will you be okay? because you know th-" " don't worry it's fine. you all head for Eun ho's home. I'll go to Taemin before she arrives at Lee Mansion." Jongin gave him an assuring smile, knowing very well that if he didn't Suho will be worried sick. after a lot of convincing and assurance, Suho agreed with Jongin's decision and bid him farewell. the members started towards Eun ho's with Jongin galloping away on his horse towards the other direction.
Lee Mansion
" master, we have news." the guard spoke as he entered the dark space. it was all black decorated with black glass shards making it look like an illusion. covered with dark magic and curses, the only thing which glorified the room was the enormous golden throne, decorated beautifully with gemstones, a huge golden chandelier hanged right above it.
" What is it?" the man who sat in the throne asked coldly. " its the Heir of Worenia." " and what about him?" the man asked. " he seems to be heading this way. It looks like he found out that you were gathering information about Eun ho. " the guard informed him. A grin spread on the man's face, he sat up revealing his face in the little ray of sunlight which entered the room. Lee Taemin, a full converted dark angel. even though he got cursed Jongin never considered him as an enemy. he was still best friends with him. but, soon enough Taemin realized that after becoming a dark angel. his and Jongin's world were different and he could do nothing to change it. he decided never to hurt him or his loved ones and rejected Damaris's offer to join his army. he kept himself hidden until Jongin gave up the search for him and damaris moved on from him. Taemin knew that as soon as he came out of hiding Jongin knew where he would be but as he was a good friend he didn't came to see Taemin even once. Taemin himself, made sure to never cross paths with Jongin or even make a slight presence in his life. " This should be interesting. " Taemin said. He dismissed the guard telling him to prepare for Jongin's arrival." Damaris be ready because he is coming for you. " Taemin's face was serious and he stared at the distance.
