"If, um, if there's anything I can do to help, or if you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask me, ok?" Rebecca offered, moving her backpack to her side to fit the remaining bag of groceries inside, then moving to grab the handlebars of the bike that was still resting against the building.

Joyce nodded her head, "I will, thank you again." Joyce showed her gratitude and paused before returning to her car, pointing at Rebecca's rusted old bike and asked, "Did you need a ride anywhere?"

Rebecca patted the handlebars and pressed her lips together, "No, but thank you, I'm good with the bike, but..." She trailed on and glanced over at the streets before asking Joyce, "I, uh, I'm going to try and find the police department?"

"Oh, yeah!" Joyce muttered, pointing down the street and moving her hands to show the directions, "It's just two blocks straight, turn right and then, uh, about three blocks and it should be right around the corner."

"Awesome, thank you so much!" Rebecca pronounced as she hopped on the seat of her bike, sending a quick but heartfelt wave towards Joyce as she conveyed her thanks as well, still a bit surprised about the whole ordeal. She was very happy that Rebecca had offered her help to find her son without batting an eye, and Joyce didn't realize how much Rebecca would end up doing in finding Will.

REBECCA LEISURELY PEDALED her way on the sidewalk, making her way to the police department according to Joyce's directions but her mind kept wandering causing her to almost bump into multiple people on her way. She couldn't shake what she saw in the middle of the general store. The monster- the one from her dreams... Her mind was just playing trick on her, right? It definitely wasn't real, right?

Rebecca shuddered to herself; it definitely felt real. The feeling of something cold being pumped through her veins suddenly, the piercing screech of the monster, the pain it caused, it felt real. And this time it was different. She wasn't asleep when it happened, she had only ever seen the monster when she was sleeping. Was she just starting to finally go crazy?

She couldn't shake the uneasiness in her stomach while talking with Joyce either. After all, Rebecca had seen her missing son in her dreams for crying out loud. She didn't even know who the boy was until recently. Should she have told Joyce? The more that she thought, the more stranger everything became.

Maybe it was just a new side effect from the new medication? She speculated but in the back of her mind she knew something bigger was going on and she would have to figure it out by herself.
