PREVIOUSLY....

She gulped and situated her bag on her shoulder once more before raising her fist up to knock on the door. Rebecca's hand froze millimeters away from the wood as she started to psych herself out. She shook her head violently and took a deep breath and knocked strongly on the door four times.

She clenched her teeth when she didn't hear anything and she knocked again. Nothing. She turned her head around to look behind her as she tapped her foot nervously and knocked for the third time. Third time's a charm right?

"I don't want whatever you're selling or preaching! Go away!" A rough voice came from inside the home and Rebecca rolled her eyes and slammed her fist on the door again, knocking harder.

She heard her father curse from the inside as he shuffled towards the door and opened it roughly, "Whaddya want?" He asked roughly and annoyingly as Rebecca stood there, staring at him as he did the same to her, his face morphing from annoyance to disbelief.

"Rebecca?" He asked quietly as his eyebrows furrowed, confused and surprised to see her standing on his doorstep.

"Hi, dad."

FOR A FEW MOMENTS, Rebecca was sure that her father wasn't going to let her into his trailer as he stood posed like a statue. His eyes boring into her, making her slightly uncomfortable. She smiled with her lips shut as his hand fell from the door knob and moved out of the doorway from Rebecca to enter.

She stepped in through the doorway and gazed around. The living room and the kitchen were in front of her and a short hallway led to the left which presumably had a bedroom at the end of it. In the living room was a small couch with a permanent indent of where someone sat all the time and a ruffled up blanket on the end. There was a small coffee table in front, littered with cigarettes, lighters and empty beer cans.

Rebecca took a few more steps forward and then turned around to face her father. She opened her mouth to say something but he bet her to it.

"What are you doing here?" He asked bluntly, his facial expression still morphed with confusion.

"Uh," Rebecca furrowed her eyebrows at his blunt question and shifted back and forth on her feet nervously, "I- came to see you." She said as if it was obvious.

He shut the door behind him, moving fully into the trailer and frustradely moved his hand and rubbed his face, "Does your mother know you're here?" he asked.
