Caspar's POV
My alarm clock blared throughout my room. I desperately wanted to sleep just a few minutes more, but knew I had to get up. Just a few more minutes, I thought. It wasn't long before I was interrupted by Oli charging into my room and vigorously shaking my shoulders.
"Wake up Caspar! Do not fall asleep! You were the one who wanted to go to the concert!" Oli chastised.
"F*ck off," I groaned.
Oli huffed. "Fine, then I guess we just won't see Joe, and you'll never know if you've won the contest."
That got me up and going. "Oh my gosh Oli, we're wasting precious time! Don't just stand there, get ready! Move, move, move!"
I shoved Oli out the door and started throwing clothes into a suitcase. I took a shower, brushed my teeth, got dressed, and headed downstairs for a quick breakfast. When I walked into the kitchen Oli was there waiting for me.
"Look who decided to get moving," Oli smirked.
"F*ck off," I said for the second time.
Oli just laughed at me. "Here Caspar, you need to eat," Oli said, sliding a bowl of cereal toward me.
I snarfed it down and looked at the clock on the wall. "We have to go!"
I dumped the rest of my cereal in the sink and rushed to get my suitcase. In a matter of minutes, we were out the door and on our way to London Stadium. Oli was the first one to drive. We would trade off every two hours.
"Woo-hoo! On our way!" I cheered.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Six hours later and we have at last made it to the London Stadium; or at least the city where it's located. Oli and I wanted to get there early so we could check into our hotel and then spend the day wandering until it was time for the concert.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Caspar, it's time to go!" Oli shouted.
"Okay, okay, I'm ready," I panted.
"C'mon, the uber's been waiting for ten minutes!"
I grabbed my phone from the couch and Oli and I sprinted down the stairs to the lobby. The elevator would've taken too long.
"Sorry for keeping you waiting," Oli apologized.
"Sorry," I also apologized.
"No need to be sorry. I wasn't waiting too long," our uber driver said.
So you may be wondering why we have called an uber. It's because parking would've been horrendous and scary. Plus, we didn't want our car to get stolen or have something horrible happen to it.
"And this is where we stop. Well, it's been nice knowing you. This is the final goodbye," Allen, our uber driver, said. He was even tearing up a little. But so was I.
"Yeah. There's a pretty good chance that we won't see each other ever again," I sniffed.
"I know. Goodbye Caspar," Allen sniffled. Then he reached over the backseat and hugged me the best he could.
"Bye Oli," was all he said to Oli.
"Bye Allen," Oli waved.
We got out and Oli turned to me and asked, "What was that all about?"
"What?" I asked back.
"The whole 'goodbyeing' thing you guys did. All you did was laugh on and on about the squirrel that keeps saying, 'Alan,'" Oli puzzled.
