Ch. 8

Juliet POV:

Tonight, we were going on our first date. We had to wait a few weeks for this, so Liam could get out of his leg boot. I finally got Rudy back, and Mary was so happy to see me. I get to go have dinner with her every Sunday after we go to church from now on. Liam let's me go places now because he trusts me, but I have to be really careful, and he has to be very close by. He says that going on this date could make things very dangerous for me, but it's a chance I am willing to take.

I picked Rudy up and began to dance with him around my newly decorated room, thanks to Liam. Rudy began to lick my face, so I laughed and put him down. I had my green dress on, and I had my black and gold heels on. I did a 360 in the mirror, and decided that I looked nice enough but when I reached for the doornob, I began to shake. I was so nervous. What if something went wrong? 

I opened the door and made my way down the stairs, but not before stumbling over the last step. I made a big "OOF" sound. 

"I'm fine." I said to a very concerned Liam who just ran around the corner. 

"You look..beautiful." he said. "I'm speechless."

"Really?" He nodded. He reached for my hand, and then we walked out to his car. He opened the door, and I got in. As we drove, we talked about the gang. I know it's weird going on a date with someone who does what he does, but I mean...he's got a great personality, and a nice butt. 

We arrived at a nice little Italian restaurant, and when they were leading us to our table, I began to feel many glares. Why do people not like Liam? I mean, yes, he is in a gang, but as I said before, he is the nicest man I've ever met. The waitress handed us our menues and left. I couldn't decide what I wanted; everything looked so good.

"Do you know what you want?" the waitress asked a few minutes later.

"Everything." I laughed. "Just a few more minutes please." I said, then looked back down at my menu. "What's the best thing to order here?" I asked Liam.

"Uh, I don't know. I've never been here before." He said, still looking at his menu. "Do you drink? I can get some wine."

"No thank you. I don't drink." It's true. I didn't drink, not after highschool, that is.

"Okay, do you guys know what you want?" the waitress said, coming back.

"Can you please stop pestering us? We will be ready whenever we damn well please." Liam said rudely. I gave him a look, and then I apologized to our waitress.

"What was that all about?" I asked.

"Nothing." He said coldly.

After a few more minutes, I decided on shrimp alfredo and he chose ravioli. We sat in silence after that for a few more minutes. 

"I need to go to the restroom." I said, getting up from the table, walking away (obviously) a bit upset.

As I walked into the restroom, I looked at myself in the mirror. I fixed my hair and re-applied my lipstick. Just then, another woman walked into the room and began to talk to me.

"Okay, I've been wanting to talk to you ever since you got here." She began. "You are the one on a date with Liam Payne, right?" She asked.

"Uh, yeah. I am." I replied.

"Please be careful sweetie. I am so worried for you. Did you know his last girlfriend just so happened to be found dead after they broke up? And he killed my father and brother, along with the rest of that sick gang of his. He's a cruel, sick, terrible man. They say he has killed well over 3,000 people since he joined the gang. Please, I'm begging you, please try and stay safe from him. He is nothing but a troubled man, and you seem like a wonderful girl."
