Liam POV:
Christmas was over. Juliet's parent's had left, but my mum was still here. It was New Years Eve, and tonight Niall was throwing a huge party at his house.
The only really wonderful thing about my mum being here was that Juliet got to sleep in my bed every single night for the past week. I knew that she watched me fall asleep, and that was so cute of her. Every night, I got to hear the soft snores when she slept. Yes, it was wonderful to see my mum, but I wish she would leave, all she did was talk about how great her life was in America; Land of the Free, Home of the Brave; the most wonderful place on Earth, yadda yadda and all that shit. I was so sick of it. It's like she had completely forgotten her life in England. She hasn't even asked once to go see my father. I didn't know this woman anymore, and I wanted her gone.
"Hey, Li-li." My mum said, coming into my office.
"Mum, leave." I said sternly.
"Okay, I'll get out of your office." She giggled.
"No, mum. This isn't fucking funny! I want you out of my house right now." I said.
"Why Liam? What did I do?"
"You left me. I had to live alone at 16 because you were too much of a coward to stay. Go back to your fucking perfect life in America. I don't want to see you again. You have 10 minutes to walk out of my life and never, ever come back"
"But Liam.."
"GET OUT." I yelled. She stared at me for a moment, her eyes were watery.
"O-okay Liam. I love you." she said, turning away and walking out.
"Bye." I whispered under my breath. What had I done?
"Liam?" I heard a knock at the door about 10 minutes later. "Everything okay?"
"Yes, Juliet. It's fine." I said with my head in my hands.
"Well, I was just wondering because your mom was crying and she left. What happened?"
"None of your fucking business." I said harshly, and I immediately bit my tongue, regretting what I had said.
"Excuse me?" she said, opening the door to my office. "I just asked you a question. You don't have to be an asshole."
I began to get angry. "Asshole? Don't ever fucking call me that again. Maybe you should go change your tampon, because you're acting like a total bitch."
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" she yelled, running out of the room. I walked upstairs to apologize a few minutes later, and I heard her crying. Her door wasn't fully shut, so I could still see through the crack. She was sitting with her legs crossed, holding a pillow. Her face was buried in the pillow, and Rudy was laying next to her. "Rudy, what did I do wrong?" she asked, sadness in her voice. "It breaks my heart to see him so upset, you know? I wish that I had something to drink, but I made a promise to my brother not to ever again. It's just that every single time I feel this upset, I need something..." she cried. "At least I will always have you, though, Rudes." she said, hugging him.
I felt a tear slide down my face. What the hell? I never cried.
I never, ever cried.
I was getting weak.
She was making me weak.
How much longer could this go on?
It was now 4 o'clock, so I needed to start getting ready. I hadn't heard from Juliet in over 3 hours, when she walked down stairs to get some water. She didn't look at me, she just walked silently up the stairs.
