Juliet POV:
It's sunday. I haven't been at work for two days, and the diner is closed today. I would like to spend my day trying to relax and forget what has happened over these past few days. I practically jumped out of bed this morning, since the sun was out. I could garden, or walk Rudy. I'm not too sure, maybe I'll do both. I was also thinking of inviting my friend Mary over for supper. I began to get ready for the day: I put on my favorite blue sun dress, and I put my hair up in a neat bun. I walked down the stairs and started to make myself some tea. As I was making the tea, I decided to watch the morning news.
Breaking News: Man, 23, found dead in alleyway.
Reporter: A man by the name of Gregory Johnson was found dead this morning in an alleyway. Johnson has been known for his involvement in gangs, however, foul play is suggested. Gregory was last seen going to his ex-girlfriends house at around 1 PM two days ago.
I fell back into my seat. Greg was...dead? Not only that but, he was in a gang? Am I safe anymore? What do I do?
I did the only thing I knew how to do: cry.
Liam POV:
I can't believe this. That asshole was in a gang? I knew Juliet was not safe anymore once they found out who his ex girlfriend was. I had to do something.
Juliet POV:
I changed my outfit, and I put on sunglasses. Rudy needed a walk, and I wasn't going to deny him of it. It was around 5 PM when I began to take a walk to Mary's. She would know what to do, she has live here her whole life.At about 5:30 PM I arrived at Mary's two story apartment. She came running out as soon as she saw my walk through her gate.
"Jules, I'm so so sorry!" She said, embracing me in a hug.
"Thank you Mary." I said, hugging her back. In a sense, I wasn't sad. At all. Is that bad?
"Come on in, I made soup." She smiled.
"Okay." I say, following her in. "Mary, can I ask you something?"
"Of course, Jules."
"Have you ever...had trouble with the gangs in this town?" I ask, and I see her face go pale.
"N-no. I don't give them trouble, so they don't give me any. Please, Juliet, please stay away from the gangs. Do anything and everything to try and be safe."
"I will, Mary. But I'm so scared. On the news, they said Greg was involved with gangs. They also mentioned my name. What if they are after me next?" I say, my eyes began to water.
"Sweetie, you can stay here if you are scared. I won't let anything happen to you. I'll even invite Max over to keep us safe. He has a black belt." She laughed, and then I did as well.
"Thanks, I'll just run home and get some things before it gets dark, okay?" I say.
"Of course! I'll clean the guest room for you, and please, Juliet, call me if anything happens."
"I will." I say, and I walked out into the chilly afternoon air. I decided to leave Rudy there, since there was so much walking that a little Corgi could do.
I decided to take a simple short cut, through an alley. Not the brightest thing, but the alley was completely empty.
I began to walk when suddenly I fell to my knees and blacked out.
-
For some reason, I felt as if I had deja vu. I was in the back of a black vehicle, except this time, my leg hurt.
"Yeah, man, we got her." A man's voice said. I couldn't quite get the accent. It sounded Irish, but with a hint of British in it. "Not exactly...shit, man don't start screaming at me. I couldn't cause a scene."
Oh, great. I've been taken by gang members, and now they are going to kill me. Wonderful.
I began to scream.
"I'll take care of it!" The man yelled. I felt really cold, strong hands. I began to kick and scream even louder. My foot, well my high heel, collided with what seemed to be a head. I sat up right and I saw that I had knocked out a guy with blonde hair. I took off my heels, and I began to open the car door. Surprisingly, it wasn't locked. I opened the door and jumped out, landing on my stomach, thankfully. I saw the car stop and a man got out, so I began to run as fast as I could. I ran until I could not hear his footsteps behind me anymore. I was safe, or so I thought. My arm was bleeding because I had scraped it, and my leg had a huge gash on it. I saw someone walking down the street, and I began to yell for help. The person ran over really fast.. a little too fast. It was the guy that was chasing me.
I ran even faster, but I guess I wasn't fast enough because he grabbed me around the waist and I began to thrash and kick.
"Calm down, now. I'm not gonna hurt ya." He said in a deep, scary voice. Sweat was pouring down my face and into my eyes. It stung, but I kept fighting...until he put me back into the car, where the blonde man had now gained conciousness. His face was bleeding pretty badly, and I admired my work as he grabbed my arms with force. They tied my legs, and then my hands. I then felt a soft cloth be placed around my mouth. Oh no, not chloroform. Please don't be chloroform. It was.
Liam POV:
I sat on my living room couch, waiting. It killed me to hear her scream on the phone, but I knew what we were doing was for the best. Louis came in with the news that they had all her stuff from her apartment, and they were moving it all upstairs to her, well, her room.
I heard the car pull up, and I immediately jumped out of my seat and looked out the window. I saw Zayn and Niall carry her unconcious body up the steps.
"I thought I told you not to....what the hell happened to you, Niall?" I asked, noticing a small hole that had blood gushing out of it.
"She's a tough one. Kicked me with her damn high heel." He said, looking down, clearly ashamed.
"Yeah, she's tough. I chased her for a good 10 blocks or so, and she still fought me all the way back to the car. We could use someone like her." He joked, and I glared.
"Zayn, when the hell are you ever going to be serious?" I asked.
"Never bossman. I'm out for the night, gotta take bimbo here to the ER. See ya." He said, handing Juliet to me, then grabbing a very injured Niall by the arm.
As soon as they left, I realized everything. I was holding Juliet in my arms, the one thing I had longed for, for so long. She had a gash on her leg, and a scrape on her arm. I brought her upstairs to clean her up. After that, I layed her in a bed. She looked so peaceful; so beautiful. I turned off the light to her room.
