Juliet POV:
It was almost time for Liam and I to go pick up my parents from the airport. We haven't been talking to each other that much for the past few weeks, just the occasional "What's for dinner?" and "Good night". I hurried out to the living room, freaking out about everything. The room for my parent's was fixed up, the house was clean...but something felt wrong.
There were no Christmas decorations.
None.
The house was bare; we didn't even have a tree. I became a bit worried. I wanted this Christmas for Liam to be special. Liam suddenly emerged from the other room.
"Oh, hey." he said, "Ready to leave?"
"Yeah, and Liam...I'm sorry about how I haven't talked to you that much."
"It's okay. I'm sorry for being an ass." He admitted. "I really am. I want to make this special for your parents. I want them to like me."
"They will. Trust me." I said. He smiled, and for the first time in almost 3 weeks, I felt that sense of warmth that his smile gave me. We got in his car and drove to the airport. I told him more about my parents on the way; what they like, what they do, etc.
"When does their flight land?" he asked, sitting in an airport chair outside the terminal.
"In about..." I said, looking at my watch, "..20 minutes."
"That's a nice watch."
"Thanks, my mom got it for me two Christmas's ago since I was always late for things."
"And you've been on time ever since?"
"For the most part, yes." I laughed. He smiled.
"What were you planning on doing in London?" He asked suddenly.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Well, like, were you planning on going to school here?"
"Actually, I took a trip here my senior year and fell in love. I knew I wanted to move here, and I wanted to go to college here too. I just finished my first semester of classes before..well yeah."
"What were you studying? I can get you classes again, if you want."
"Nursing. And you would really do that for me Liam?" I asked.
He nodded. "Yes. I want you to be able to do what you want." I hugged him for this.
"Oh, thank you so so much!" I yelled.
He pulled away from the hug. "Is that your parent's plane?" he asked, changing the subject. I saw a large Delta airplane and I knew it must be them. After about 10 minutes, the people from the plane were getting off. I saw my parents standing in the terminal. My mom had made my father stop and fix his shirt. He rolled his eyes and laughed at her with love in his eyes. I had never seen a love like that, other than my parents.
"Momma, papa!" I yelled, running towards them. My mother turned from my father and opened her arms. I felt her warm embrace within seconds. "I miss you so much."
"Oh honey, I've missed you more than I can imagine." She said, with tears in her eyes. I heard my dad clear his throat, and then I turned and he had his arms open. I ran into his arms, and by this time, I was crying too.
"Missed ya kiddo." He said, petting my hair.
"Momma, papa, there's someone you should meet." I smiled. I turned toward Liam and waved for him to come over. When he walked over, I smiled. "This is Liam."
