A/N This story is about to end, it will take maximun two more episodes. And then, I might take a break in publishing my stories,  I guess I have pushed my inspiration too much and now she needs a break too. Anyway, I'll keep writing and if I do like enough what I write, I may as well publish it. Thanks to all readers, voters, reviewers and so on. :)

Sue

I don't even know how did I manage to drive to the hospital. My ma's mote didn't 'tell that much...what kind of accident had my father had, and how was he? When I finally arrived and found a place to park, I just rushed to the Emergency entrance. My ma, Andy and May were there...Ma was trying to hold her tears back, and May was by her side, conforting her.

-Ma, what happened? How,..

My ma just got up and hugged me, but said nothing...she was just too upset to talk, I guess. I looked at Andy, and I kinda read in his eyes what had happened. I let go my ma, who sat again, and went to Andy's side. There was no need to ask. He took me apart, and told me everything.

-As soon as doctors tell us something, I'm denouncing him. This time he's gone way too long...he came home,  to take May with him, and when your father  tried to avoid it, he pushed him downstairs. I couldn't do anything, Sue, I'm sorry...

-I knew it had been him, who else could? And don't feel guilty about a thing...if  it hadn't been my dad, it would have been you...thank God you were there, in any case.  And Becky, where's she?

-Your ma asked us to leave her at one of her friends, just in case....I said nothing, didn't want even to think of it, but falling down the stairs ,backwards...well, it wasn't something reassuring at all.

-Relatives to Hugh Blake? -We all gathered by the doctor. To our relief, he looked rather relaxed.

-Other than a small concussion and a broken leg, he is fine. Still, he would have to stay here for the night, but just out of prevention. You can see him now. Only one person at a time.

I sighed with relief, and told my ma to go first. After five minutes, or less, it was my turn. My da had his left leg in a plaster, but that was all. He also complained of a light headache, but a nurse told me that was because of the concussion..he had been given some painkillers to prevent it.

I walked out of the E.R, and ma told me Andy and May had gone to the precinct, to denounce the attack. I would have wanted going with them...

There was a precinct not too far from the hospital, maybe two or three blocks. We were walking, as it was useless taking the car...when we were about to arrive, a car blocked our way, and Marjorie went out of it. We stepped back...She ignored me and stared at May. It was the stare of someone who has lost her mind.

-Get in the car, sweetie. Travel time...

I looked at the precinct. It was right in front of us, and a young officer was standing guard by the door. "You've screwed up this time, Marjorie"... I wondered how on earth hadn't she seen the precinct...It wasn't my business, anyway. May, on her side, showed what a good actress she could be.

-No...I'm not going anywhere with you...

-Get in the car, now!-And she grabbed May. That was just what we wanted.

-No! No! Help, please!

May yelled at the top of her lungs, until the officer by the door came helping us. I was holding Marjorie, to prevent her from going away...

-What happens, miss? Any trouble?

-We wanted to report an attempted homicide, but this woman blocked us and tried to take my sister away...

-She's my daughter! Don't listen to them, they're lying!

-I haven't seen this woman in my whole life, officer...please, help us!

-Ok...We'd better solve this in the precinct... And you, ma'am, you'd better calm down, or I'll have to lock you. And what's that of an attempted homicide, young man?

May

Once the report was presented, I came down. It had been some incredibly tense months,  and I exploded. I sat on the stairs of the precinct, and cried as if I were a toddler. One of the officers that had taken our report told us he would go to the hospital, to talk to Hugh and have everything confirmed. Right after that, they would start looking for Richard. And about Marjorie... well, it seemed she had kinda admitted she  knew  he was going to the Blakes house, and somehow that made her an accomplice. She had digged her own grave, so as to say...

When we told them all that happened, Allen and Jess  thought it would be better if we stayed again with them. Sue and her family would be safer that way,so we agreed. Still, we had to tell the cops where we were, at least until Richard was found...

Three days later, when we were about to have dinner, with the Blakes as guests, someone rang the doorbell. We expected no one, and to be true, we didn't feel sure at all. Allen and Andy went to open, quite unsure of who might be. Less than a minute later, they came back to the dining room, along with a smiling officer.

- They've got him!
