The week had passed by in a blur. Ryan and I hung out again and another time with Kimmy. He hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend yet but I'm patient and willing to wait.

It was Saturday and I was hoping to spend the day with my parents but they're busy with work and got called into the office, on a Saturday.

I just woke up so I grabbed a towel and went to take a shower.

Maybe today I could go to the mall, I haven't been to the mall here yet, and plus a lot of my clothes were jeans and blouses. I still liked a lot of my clothes but the girls in California dress differently. Not drastically different, but definitely a lot different than how i'm used to dressing. Plus, quite a bit of my clothes were left at my grandma's house in Tennessee, my parents figured we shouldn't take everything from the house.

I came out of the room and heard my phone ding, walking over I see it's my mom.

Mom: Hey sweetie, not sure if you saw the note on your door. Dad and I got called in and we won't be home until later. Some moron over here messed up the details of a contract and now we have to sort it out. Text us if anything, but please don't call. (Delivered 9:24am)

I couldn't help but roll my eyes at the text, obviously I saw the note on my door. I woke up happy to spend time with my parents as promised only to find out I'm the only one left in the house.

I heard someone whistle causing me to drop my phone out of fright.

I pick up my phone and look up to see Jake standing at my window, "Well good morning Princess, this is quite a surprise"

"Jake, why are you always looking into my room?"

"Well when I wake up in the morning, I like to let the sunlight in, but this morning, I open my window to see something far more pleasing".

"Creep" I scoffed.

"What was that?" he asked waiting for me to repeat myself.

"Nothing" I mumbled walking into my closet.

I slipped on a pair of shorts and a tank top and decided I'd text Kimmy to go to the mall.

She excitingly agrees and I grab my purse and head out the door.

:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:

I meet Kimmy at the mall and we begin to shop at different stores. Of course many stores in the mall I recognize, a few I've shopped at, many not. My parents business was a lot more known in Tennessee, so I always had to look a certain way leaving a personal shopper to get most of my clothing.

Kimmy shows me a few shops I haven't seen before and slowly my pile of clothes begin to pile up.

"Oh Kim, why are all these clothes...so small?" I say as I try to pull the tube top down only to make my chest pop up at the top. I frown with defeat.

I see Kimmy's feet appear by the door of the dressing room, "Open I'm sure you look amazing"

I adjust the top and open the door and her eyes scan my body leading her to smile approvingly, "Love that color on you"

I play with the hem of the top, "I'm not used to wearing clothes that are so...revealing"

"Girl, what the hell did you wear when it got dead hot in Tennessee?" Kimmy asked sorting through some clothes she had picked out.

"Well clothes for hot weather of course. Just... not this"

She tilts her head at me before shaking the topic away with her hands, "Never mind, what do you think of this?"
