It's New Years Eve and everyone is freaking out about the party tonight.

I on the other hand have been sitting at my window watching Jake and the guys play basketball behind their cabin.

"Chelsea, come on, enough of this already." Kimmy said coming into my room and shutting the curtain.

"Hey!" I called out, "I'm just looking at the pool."

She rolled her eyes and shook her head, "We both know you're looking at Jake. Enough, go down there and talk to him."

"He's so mad at me Kim and plus he doesn't even want a relationship. What would making up do if we can't be together?" I feel my eyes tearing up and curse at myself for being so soft.

"Babe I'm so sorry. He's going to come around I know he will. And if he doesn't it's his loss. You deserve someone who is sure of how much they love you and want to be with you," she pushes a piece of hair behind me ear and smiles gently, "You want to come help me pick out an outfit in the meantime?" I knew she wasn't going to leave me alone either way so I figured we might as well be productive.

"Okay," I got up and followed Kim to her room.

:-:-:-:-:-:

I had on a golden cowl neck top and straight leg jeans. Anything sparkly screams New Years according to Kim so we were all pretty much wearing some form of shiny glittery or sequence clothing.

After everyone was ready we took a few pictures and then walked over to the same cabin as the other night.

The music was just as loud as last time but it was decorated just slightly classier. There were gold and black glitter spiral streamers hanging from the ceiling, balloons were scattered around the cabin and the one table was lined with champagne bottles in preparation for midnight.

I looked around the room, shamelessly looking for Jake.

"If you're going to talk to him, tonights the night to do it," Kimmy said already knowing who I was searching for, "Why don't you get us a drink?"

"You sure?" I ask confused. Kimmy hated when I made her drink, she said I never put enough alcohol and they always tasted weak.

"Yeah, please." I nod and walk over to where the drink table is looking for the tequila.

As I go to reach for the bottle I see someone go for the Jack. I recognize that hand more than my own as it's consoled me so many times, ran along my body.

I look up to see Jake and he sees me as well, no longer reaching for the bottle. I try not to shake my head as I realize Kimmy set me up, she didn't want me to make her drink, she must've seen Jake over here.

To my surprise he speaks first, "Since when do you drink tequila?"

"It's um- it's not for me it's for Kimmy," I say as I pour her drink.

I chew my lip wanting to say something else, "Look Jake,"

"You barely put any tequila in there," he observes motioning to Kimmy's drink.

I frown annoyed that I am unable to nail this drink making thing, "What? I put like a shot in."

"No you definitely need more, Kimberly is going to hate that," I try not to smile at his use of her full name but can't help myself, he's so cute.

"So then you do it," I hold out the cup for him and he raises an eyebrow at me pausing before reaching for the bottle of tequila.

He begins pouring and continues pouring and my mouth falls open in shock, "Okay relax, you're going to kill her."
