The next day I went to school and surprisingly got there a little early. I had to walk to school since my car was still being fixed but I didn't mind. I stopped at this cute coffee shop on my way here for coffee and a muffin.

I sat down in my homeroom seat and checked in with the teacher before plugging in my earbuds.

As music played in my ears I scrolled through my social media and sipped on my coffee. I didn't have many people from this new school which isn't a big deal, social media was never a big thing for me. I had some people from my hometown though. I scrolled down and saw a picture of one of my old friends with her boyfriend.

Before I could like the photo, I felt someone's foot nudge my shin.

I sigh at the realization that it's Jake.

I pulled out an earbud signaling him to speak, "Hey you're in my seat."

His seat? What is he, five?

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't know you personally bought this chair" I mumble sarcastically. I realize how rude my response is and when I look up I can tell he thinks so too, but I keep my cool. He deserves to be responded to with the disrespect he gives me.

He scowled down at me, beckoning me with his finger, "Up now."

"No sit somewhere else" Usually I'm not this stubborn with him but this was probably the stupidest thing ever. Was he going to cry if he had to sit in any of the other chairs that look exactly like this one?

"Princess, up. now." 'Princess', it slips right off his tongue but is still foreign to my mind.

"Look there are plenty of other seats, just stop being a child and sit in one of those" I speak looking at my phone slightly afraid of the glare he's staring at me with.

"You're really not going to move are you?" He studies me, aggravated by my attitude.

I say nothing as I look down at my phone giving him the answer he is looking for.

He rolled his eyes and sat in the seat next to me. He seems like he's about to say something else but the harsh voice of Mr. Sculcher cuts him off.

"Jake, Chelsea if you're done disrupting the class I have a job I need to get done." Mr. Sculcher's booming voice silenced the class. I didn't even realize the bell for English rang as I look around and see different students occupying seats.

"We werent even-" he cuts me off as I try to defend myself.

"Now that's enough from you Ms. Moran, another word from either of you and detention for a week" I can hear students snickering around me.

I quickly shut up, pouting in my seat. I hate being embarrassed in front of the whole class, it's humiliating and unnecessary. But of course Sculcher is the biggest asshat at Riverside.

"You afraid of detention?" Jake asked leaning towards me.

I shoot him a glare, not stopping myself from being rude. "No, more so put off at the idea of being around you more than I have to be," first he ruins my morning and now he's about to get me detention!

Jake looks up to make sure the teacher won't catch us, but Mr. Sculcher has his back to the class. Jake turns to me and smirks, "Maybe the rebellious vibes of being in detention will cause you to loosen up."

I bite the inside of my cheek to stop myself from screaming. "Do you enjoy bothering me?" I said trying to focus on what Mr. Sculcher was writing on the board.

"I wouldn't call it bothering so much so as trying to prove a point" he winked giving me a quick once over. I don't understand what makes him believe I am dying to sleep with him.
