*A.N.12/8/21, I know I'm sorry I'm revising this chapter again and I haven't updated a new chapter in a while. It's just that this chapter in particular has always sounded wrong it didn't fit right so I hope I can fix it now. I hope you enjoy this either way.

*Update. soooo, heh heh. I'm writing the revisions, do do dooo, and then. BOOM! I decided that Yang... won't have a surprise transformation anymore she's just a...ah... Lizard ; ) yeah a lizard which means more work for me, and my deepest apologies to the people who have kept up with this story so far. Honestly I was already debating this because I wanted to put in so many elements, but all in all I think it's better this way. I'm still very sorry though.

Weiss's POV (before she met Ruby.) ______________________________________________________

I ran, I ran from my father...gods he's going to kill me next time our paths cross. I ran for hours holding my injured arm tightly against my chest to hopefully slow the bleeding. I entered the forest a while ago my legs finally beginning to slow down, the adrenaline rush long gone. I heaved at the throbbing in my neck and side every nerve in my body was on fire. Every step I took was painful. A pathetic whimper left my lips as my legs gave out, and every limb shook from exhaustion. I collapsed on the ground my arm still pressed against my chest. Thankfully my aura had kicked in to stop the bleeding, but I know as soon as I move to fast the wound would open up again. I sat on the forest floor for another hour or two trying to gain enough strength to stand, after a while I shakily rose to my feet only to lose my balance again. I braced my shoulder on a tree nearest to me to catch my breath. There was a loud noise behind me. My heart leapt into my throat at the sheer fear that it may be my father 'Did he find me already!? How!? Oh my god I'm going to die! My father is going to kill me... or worse...' I began to hyperventilate my mind straying to unpleasant thoughts.

'No.No.No.No.NO! Run. I have to run.' 

As I got up to do just that a loud voice boomed from the other side of the clearing causing me to trip over my own feet in panic. I coward on the ground against the base of a tree covering my face, and pulling my knees to my chest.

"NO! Stay away! d-don't come any cl-closer!" His footsteps were the only thing I could hear. 'Please not again..' I whimpered feeling my ears brush against the side of my head. 

"H-y, hey! Calm down, what's wrong?" The fuzzy voice became clearer. It was soft, and concerned. feminine, I realized, my panic began to ebb away slowly as I took deep breaths. 'I'm ok. It's not him. You are ok...He's not here.' I slowly raised my face to meet the violet gaze of a tall blonde lizard? faunus, I think.

"Y-you scared me." Came my reply. That's an understatement.

She stared a little longer her eyes compassionate. She looked down at my neck and they widened. She came over holding out her hand. I cautiously grabbed it, she carefully helped me up off the ground.

"Thank you.." I whispered, she nodded pulling my arm over her shoulders and helping me walk.

"No problem little fox, and I'm sorry for scaring you back there. My name's Yang btw. This is my family's territory. Our house is just up ahead, my sister will patch you up then you can rest here as long as you want."
