Pearls POV
I walked towards the bus, with Amethyst. 'We had the same stop, right?' Amethyst asked.
'Yeah, I thought so.' I said. Amethyst nodded. We got in and went to sit down somewhere. Together. We were together the whole day. It's nice. Amethyst looked out of the window.
'Everything alright?' I asked.
Amethyst looked up. 'Oh, yeah.' she said and she looked at her hands, 'I think I'm just tired of school.' Suddenly I saw Jasper getting on to the bus. She saw us, and walked towards us.
'Hey Agate.' she said to the girl in front of us.
Agate looked up. 'Oh. Hi, Jasper.' she said and she put her bag on the ground. I looked at Amethyst, who irritated looked out of the window.
Jasper turned around. 'Oh, hi, Amethyst.' she said, 'I see you have a new busbuddy?'
Amethyst looked at her. 'Why do you do this, Jasper?' she asked irritated, but also calm.
'Do what?' she asked.
'You know what. You know we don't like it when you talk to us. You're highly annoying, the whole fucking day.'
'Wow, Ame, are you on your period or something?'
'No, are you?' Jasper kept quiet, and Amethyst rolled her eyes and looked unamused out of the window again.
Jasper looked at me. 'See it?' she asked, 'First she is your friend and then she becomes friends with someone else to let you fall.'
'What are you talking about?' Amethyst asked and she was at her breaking point, 'I don't understand you at all. First you say to me that I have to have...' She kept quiet and thought, 'First you say that I have to become friends with Pearl, and now I'm letting you fall? You're not the bad one, I am?!'
'Bad one? What are you talking about?'
'Do I have to refresh your mind? Do I have to tell what you said this morning? Do I also have to tell about Topaz?!'
'Let Topaz go, Amethyst!' Jasper shouted. The whole bus became quiet. I looked from Jasper to Amethyst. She opened her mouth to say something.
'Amethyst.' I said quietly, 'Please..'
'But-!'
'Please..' Amethyst looked at me, and then angrily looked away.
'Jasper, could you turn around, please..?' I asked carefully. Jasper looked at me.
'I'm not a fucking toddler.' she said as she said down.
'Then don't act like it.' Amethyst said. She was really angry again. The bus began to drive and we rode away from school.

Pearls POV
The bus stopped. Amethyst and I stood up. Amethyst walked straight past Jasper, and I looked quickly at her before I hopped off. 'Which way do you have to go?' Amethyst asked. I pointed a direction. Amethyst nodded and walked with me.
'Where do you live?' Amethyst asked.
'Freedomstreet 8.' I said, 'You?'
'Freedomstreet?' Amethyst repeated. I nodded.
'I live at the Kindergartenlane 17.'
'Oh wow, really?' She nodded. 'And you always walk this way?' Amethyst nodded again.
'Isn't it weird that I've walked past your house for almost four years?' Amethyst said and she looked ahead of her.
'That's a bit crazy, yeah.' I said and I smiled.
'Basically, I could pick you up to walk to the bus in the morning.' Amethyst said, 'I walk past your house.'
'Do you want to do that?' I asked enthusiastically.
'Yeah, sure, why not?' She looked at me, saw me smiling and quickly looked at the ground again, with little blushes on her cheeks. 'It's not a big deal.' she said.
'What time are you coming?' I asked.
'At a time we would have enough time to get to the bus.' I smiled.
'Great.' I said.
'Really great.' Amethyst repeated. She put her hands in her pockets again. I saw my house.
'Here it is.' I said.
Amethyst looked up to look at the house. 'You live here?' she asked a bit unbelievingly.
'Yeah.' I said. Amethyst kept quiet for a while.
'I've walked past you for almost four years.' she said softly and she smiled. I smiled too. I walked to the front door. I saw my mom walking through the house.
'Wait, eh,' Amethyst said, 'I don't have your phone number.'
'Phone number?' I asked and blushed a little. Amethyst nodded and grabbed her phone.
'Do you want to put it in there?' she asked, 'We could text and stuff.'
'Oh, yeah, of course.' I said and I kept blushing. I grabbed her phone and put my number in it. Pearl. I gave her her phone back.
'Thanks.' she said and she put her phone back, 'Well, see ya tomorrow.' I smiled.
'Yes, see you tomorrow.' I said and I waved. She smiled back and nodded. I looked how she walked away, till the door suddenly opened.
'Hi love.' my mom said.
I got scared. 'Oh my god..- Hi, mom.'
'Who's that?' she asked and she tried to look at Amethyst but she was already gone.
'Oh, a classmate.'
'Did she asked for your number?' she asked and she grinned.
I blushed heavily. 'Mom, please.' I said and I walked past her.
'I was joking.' mom said.
'Yeah, sure.'
'She looks nice.' she said.
'Yes, she is.'
'And funny.'
'Yes.'
'And smart.'
'Yes.'
'And pretty.'
'Yes.'
'Ha!'
I suddenly realized wat I said. 'I mean, I thought you wanted to add something.' I said, 'Like, she pretty smart, you know?'
'Yeah, sure.' I rolled my eyes.
My mom's so annoying. She always act like that when I talk to girls. My dad does too. It's almost weird how they reacted when I told them I liked girls. They said they've always known, but I highly doubt that. Since then my mom always embarrass me when she sees girls with me. Last year she went on a school trip with my class and kept talking to my crush, the whole day, and it was so incredibly embarrassing.
I looked at my phone. Lapis had sent something.
'Is anyone online?' she asked.
'Yeah, me.' I said.
'Ahh, Pearl. Had fun on school?'
'Yesss I really love it.'
'School or Amethyst?'
'What..?'
'I'm joking, I'm joking.'
'Do you know Amethyst? Like, are you friends?'
'I think so? We're not really close, nobody of us is reeaally close with Amethyst, but she's nice. I like her.'
'Who's Topaz?'
Lapis kept quiet for a while. 'Did Amethyst tell you about her?'
'She told there was a Topaz. I don't know anything about her.'
'Amethyst has to tell you. I wasn't there. She was.'
'Was where?'
'Square.'
'What?'
'Where? Square? It rhymes?'
I kept quiet for a while. 'It's not that hard to understand.' Lapis said.
'I was serious. I still am.'
'Hi Serious, I'm Lapis.'
'You're just like my mom.' She sent laughing smileys. Our conversation went quiet, and we both went offline till I got a new message. A unknown number.
'Hey, it's me, Amethyst. I thought, let's sent you something to know if this is the right number.' I looked at the profile picture and saw Amethyst. I smiled.
'Yep. Right number.'
'Great.' It went silent.
'Sooo... How are you doing?' I asked.
'I'm alright, thanks. And you?'
'I'm great, thank you, and you?' Omfg. I could slap myself. My god, I'm so stupid.
'I'm alright, thanks.'
'Hehe, great.' It went silent again. 'Wyd?' I asked.
'Texting with you.'
'Woow, really? I didn't know that.'
'Yeah, I thought so.' I smiled, even though she didn't see it.
'I'm just texting with you and listening to music and stuff. Nothing special.'
'Same. Beside the music part. Don't want to irritate my mom.'
'Ha, my mom's not home till half past seven.'
'What about your father?'
'Divorced.' Fuck.
'I'm so sorry.'
'Nah, it's okay. It's not that bad.'
'Don't you think it's a bit shitty?'
'My father's an asshole. I'm glad he's gone.'
'Oh.. Well, that's great for you then.'
'What about your father?'
'The usual. He's working at night, sleeping at daytime.'
'Oh, that's shitty.'
'Yeah, a little. But I'm used to it.' Amethyst kept quiet for a while, and then she sent a thumbs up. I smiled and bit softly onto my lip. I'm an idiot.
