I was handcuffed and taken in the airship with these men, Blaire hiding in my cape coat. I was alone except for the pilots and a guard who looked like he was taking a nap.
Blaire pokes her head out of my pocket and whispers, "what now, Zach?""For now, stay quiet and act like a cat. I don't think these people can handle a magic cat." I whisper back.
Meanwhile....
In a tower about 30 stories tall, mostly all white, and sitting on the edge of a cliff, a sixteen years old boy in a red and orange jacket with aviation goggles on his head was walking with a very stern man with pale skin, sunglasses, and an all green suit, were walking towards a room of holding cells.
"Oh come on, Six!" Whined the boy to the man in green, "Why do we have to clean the holding cells? We don't even need them since I cured every EVO on the planet."
"One, if you want to live here, Rex, you have to do your part. And right now you have chores to do." Said Six.
"And what's the other reason?" Rex questioned raising an eyebrow.
"We have a prisoner coming. It's not Van Kleiss, but he did show up out of nowhere. Once he gets here, we'll need to run some tests to make sure he isn't dangerous. And he'll need a place where we can watch him. So get cleaning." He ordered.
A/N: probably should have warned you in advance, but this and the next couple of chapters are heavily influenced on the cartoon Generator Rex and it's lore. It takes place a half a year after the end of the series. If you have not seen this show, I highly recommend watching it because these next few chapters will be heavy in spoilers.
Later I arrive at the base, with a pilot speaking. "This is Providence 1 requesting clearance for landing." A voice over the radio says, "This is base, you are clear for landing." Once we land, I am taken by Six and Rex to a room with medical equipment and various technological equipment and a young woman, maybe mid 20's, and having an orange dress under her white lab coat was scribbling on a clipboard.
"Set him on the bed, Six. I need to run some tests to make sure his nanites aren't active."
Six sits me on the bed and takes off the cuffs on my wrists as Blaire jumps out and acts like a cat. Six grabs her as the woman sticks a syringe in me and takes some of my blood, causing me to wince, as I was never a fan of having my blood drawn. She then takes the blood under a microscope."Strange." She says.
"What's the matter, Dr. Holiday? Something wrong with his nanites?" Asks Six, still looking stern as Rex comes in, looking bored and exhausted."What's up, Doc? Got a problem with an EVO?" Asks Rex.
"That's the problem. I don't see any nanites in his blood. He's like White Knight, not a single nanite in his body. I've never seen anything like it! I'll have to ask Dr. Salazar for his opinion." She says, astonished and me with a confused look on my face.
"For now, take him to a holding cell." Holiday says as she hurries out of the room with a stack of papers. Rex and Six soon take me to a cell and put me in it.
"Until we discuss your future, you'll remain here." Six says as he and Rex leave, Blaire now on Six's shoulder.
Just what have I gotten myself into?
