Once I was invited into the house, I sat on their sofa. The soft, red, velvety texture of the sofa feeling comfortable. I was still getting used to furniture, I may have spent too long in those woods. Anyway, Soul started making dinner, telling me to make myself at home.
Then I hear a small, cute voice, "Soul! You're home! And you brought a guest home!" I turn in time to see a puff of smoke and out of that smoke comes something I almost passed out from. It was a naked lady, maybe late teens, early 20's, with proportions that would make even a homosexual have a nose bleed, bright purple hair with little tufts sticking out on each side of her head, and a smile like a cat.
Disclaimer: I have nothing against homosexuals, in fact I have an "uncle" who's gay and my family loves him to death.
"Blaire! Get off me! Maka will-" Soul exclaims as he was cut off, blood gushing from his nose, Maka right behind him, glaring. I continue to laugh as I haven't seen this much fun since the accident. It was then the woman, Blaire I think, noticed me and looked at me, a puzzled look on her face. "Who's this guy? Another student from the Academy?" She asked.
"No, he's a friend from out of town." Maka said, not bothering with the details. "Uh, Maka? Who is this?" I asked, confused on the situation.
She sighed and said, "This is Blaire. She's.... a special kind of person." Blair then huffed and was gone in a puff of smoke, only to see a dark purple cat on Maka's shoulder, wearing a tall, pointed hat.
"Come on, Maka. You know I'm a cat, not a human." Said the talking cat as I double back in surprise.
Maka then briefly explained how there were people who were born to use magic, not like Soul when he transformed, but actual magic. They call these people Witches, as they were all female. Maka and Soul discovered that Blaire was not a witch, but a cat with a crazy amount of magic. Once everything was said and done, the Nexus beeped, indicating a new world to explore. I get up and feel something heavy in my pocket. I fish it out to discover a pendant materialized in my pocket. It was a gold chained pendant with a small blue crystal in it with a gold trim. I immediately know what this is as I touched it as I soon hand it over to Maka.
"Maka, take this. This is a Portal gem. It is a method of communication with me from any world I'm in. However, this communication must be activated by me, so only I can activate a communication line. I'm sure we'll talk again. I must go, another world has been discovered. I must fulfil my duty as Guardian of the Multiverse and explore new worlds." I say goodbye to Maka and Soul as I turn and open a portal.
Once I stepped through the portal I instantly noticed how different this world looked. Everything looked less cartoon-ish and looked like I was in in a modern city of some sort, with skyscrapers everywhere and cars around me, but oddly enough no people. Maybe they were all inside. Then I feel something wriggling in my cape coat pocket. It climbs up and lands on my shoulder.
"Wow! So this is what another world looks like!" It was Blaire. She somehow managed to hitchhike with me here.
"Blaire! What are you doing here?!" I said, confused.
"Oh, I hitched a ride. I wanted to explore new worlds too." She said bluntly.
Just then a big, white tank, looking oddly cubicle, rolled up. It was about ten feet tall and sixteen feet long, packed with turrets. Then it opened up and a bunch of white uniformed soldiers with black masks came out and surrounded me, pointing guns at me.

One shouted, "Freeze! You are in a restricted area! Please leave and let Providence do our duty!"
Oh boy. What have I gotten myself into?
