"Hmmm..." said Death with his forefinger and thumb on his chin, thinking. "This is new. Where are you from, sir?"

With no other choice, I explain everything. I explain how I am from another dimension, how I can travel freely between each world with the Nexus, and my role as the Guardian of the Multiverse. I tell them about the power I hold, what I can do. Once I'm done I hear the squeak of wheels on a chair and the smell of cigarette smoke. There was a person coming this way, but i could sense something about him, something dangerous. Then I hear the sound of a winding key in an old toy. I look and there was a man in his 30's or 40's with surgical scars on his body, even the white lab coat he was wearing. What freaked me out the most was the fact he had a giant rivet going through his head, and he was winding it up until it clicked.

"Ah, Dr. Franken Stein. What brings you here?" Said Death.

"Well, I came here to give you your mail," he says holding a stack of letters, "until I heard of this man's story. And I think I have a theory."

"Ooh! The latest issue of Weapons and Meister Monthly is here!" Death grabs his mail as we all him him a puzzled look. "What? It's a good magazine."

"Yeah... so Dr. Stein? Your theory?" I said, looking to him and letting Death read.
"Well, this Beast, let's call it, seems to come out during a full moon where you're from, similar to a werewolf, but it goes after specific targets. Observe." Stein said pointing back to the mirror and rewinding the footage. In the background was a woman with blonde hair and a red dress.

"This woman was uninjured in the attack and was never targeted." Stein explains, " It seems that this Beast goes after people with darkness in their hearts, such as criminals or people who did wrong. The good news is that the Beast is a separate being and completely independent of you. The bad news is that is once it comes out you can't control it and soon pass out, leaving it in control until the Beast has hunted it's prey, so to speak."

I just stand there, in shock. "What.... what should I do?"

"Well, until you somehow gain control of the Beast, I suggest you stay away from people with darkness in their hearts. Even if these people are on the straight and narrow, they still have that darkness." The mad doctor states.

I solemnly nod. I then look to Maka and Soul Eater, "I don't suppose you know a place I could stay?"

Maka says, "you can stay at our place." I agree and am escorted to their house. It was a modest home, with red and yellow walls on the outside and decent furniture on the inside, including a nice dining set, a couple couches with a coffee table, and a few decorations.

It was a nice place to spend the night, but my adventure is just getting started.
